@@AwesomeGuy2x I'm thinking if they do a sequel to Sonic Mania, I could see King Heavy reaching a power beyond comprehension. So Sonic has to transform into Super Sonic, and Metal Sonic has to tap into the Master Emerald's power to become Hyper Metal Sonic, and they both have to destroy King Heavy.

Sonic 1 Game Gear: South island does not get purged of the pollution. Sonic 2 Game Gear: Tails is never rescued and is implied to meet a grizzly fate. Sonic Chaos: Eggman retains the chaos emeralds, South Island collapses into the Ocean. Sonic Triple Trouble: Nack retains the rest of the chaos emeralds besides the one retrieved from Eggman.
In all games before MD/GEN Sonic 2, there were only 6 Chaos Emeralds. The guys over at Sega just so happened to come up with the idea that there should be 7 Chaos Emeralds to steal the idea of Dragon Ball, where the one who obtains all 7 will gain unlimited power

Unlikely, SEGA has confirmed that Sonic has collected over 70 *billion* rings over the years in an ad for Sonic Jump (at this point he should have close to that amount) and since his super form runs on ring energy, I don’t think he used (or can even use) it all up. Sonic has fought an overclocked Emerl in base in Sonic Battle so it’s likely that his Super form was only required because this fight took place in space (technically the Emerl fight did as well but you get what I mean). So my own personal headcannon was that he was caught off-guard by something, possibly the explosion at the end causing him to lose his super form.
It's complex, but you need to find 10 Chao scattered across all 7 zones, 3 are in Acts 1, 2, 3 and 1 is lost in the hubs of each zone, then after finding all chao of a zone, a magic key will appear in a random spot of the hub, gotta find it and then find a giant spring, jumping on it with the key will unlock it and boing you all out to the Special Stage
Late reply but Deem Bristow. This was the last game with the Dreamcast VAs before Shadow came out and replaced them with the 4Kids actors. This was also the last time he voiced Eggman before his death.
