I'm getting the hardcover and I am soooo glad it doesn't say written by Egon and Ray. in the original Ghostbusters movie they didn't write the Tobin Spirit Guide. This was a book they were using as a reference. I can't wait to read mine.
Agree, enjoy yours the book it a lot of fun for fans of Ghostbusters.
I love Ghostbusters@@MakeItorBreakItNow
There is also a blue/grey paperback one and it’s the same as the green one except that it was from Loot Crate. Though if you’re a fan of the movies, cartoon and video games just stick with the hardcover one.
I got both. One for my bookshelf and the soft cover because I have curious kids who like Ghostbusters. I let my son take it for show and tell and even at 6, he was very careful with it.
the prices are reversed if you're in europe: 35€+ for the green softcover or 16€ for the red hardcover, if you can find the softcover version at all
M Hotzl, interesting... I would have never guessed that would be the case. Thanks for sharing.
Hardbacks just look better most of the time and are a hell more durable along with leather bound books. Pretty much every paperback book I read falls apart at the spine due to the paper staying bent.
BMT115, excellent point, I prefer hardback too.
I like the hardcover as always, but like the green of the softcover.
the hardcover is our favorite too.
Thanks for offering clarity regarding the differences between each edition. Was always rather confused at that.
Rich, you're welcome. Not sure why they make it so confusing...
Gotta go for the " Hardback" it's so nice.
agree, but at almost 3 times the price?
@@MakeItorBreakItNow yes
The blue one…
That's good one...
Hardback
airic21, thansk for your vote.
I like the look of the hardcover more
Iceland Dan, all my family agrees with you...
Meh. It doesn't adhere to canon. Why would Stay Puft be in there if the book was written 50 years before Gozer appeared in New York? And also....it was written by Tobin, not Egon and Ray...obviously.
Greg, good point, although Stay Puft could have appeared before... Egon and Ray refer to Tobin so it shouldn't have been written by them...
@@MakeItorBreakItNowThe Destructor only took the form of Stay Puft because Ray goofed. Honestly I even have a problem with the cabbie being in there, cool as he was. Obviously I like my props as in-story as possible, so probably hardback for me.
@@texta_text But this isn't the ACTUAL Tobin's Spirit Guide. This is the Ghostbusters Edition. It's as if Ray and Egon had written their own version of the guide based on their cases
hardback
Enigma, agreed. Just way more expensive for an identical book minus the cover difference.
@k thank you so much.
I found the real Tobin's Spirit Guide made by J.H Tobin
Cool, how do you like it?
@@MakeItorBreakItNowyes there is one and it has good reviews but it has more pages than the Bible I think
Hardback
Powersphere, agree, I think the extra money is worth it.
@@MakeItorBreakItNow yah I actually got the hardback a while back and I think its just alot better
@@stormdahusky yup. Both are still a lot of fun though. Better than not having one.
