Saw this movie when it first came out and the score still occupies a little sliver of my mind. So here's my comment to add to all the rest: This song feels infinite, like love does, like it does when you're falling into it. And you have no weight, no body, all stripped away by the monster of affection. This song is the finger print that's left once you stop falling and the weight of it all comes crashing down upon you. This song is the echo of that single momentous occasion.
This piece is everything I imagine love is and could be - loud, yet quiet, ugly, yet beautiful, temporary, yet eternal, - it is essentially every single descriptive adjective the human mind could conjure.
I haven't watched the movie, but this song... it makes me feel. it's like the uneasiness of being alive, of loving other human beins, feeling trapped and somehow small amid the great scheme of the universe were compilated in these few minutes. it makes me feel anxious, it's hard to listen, but somehow beautiful.
I haven't stopped thinking about this film since the day I saw it. The soundtrack added immeasurably to the dread and beauty of the film. I love the way neither the film nor the soundtrack both explaining a single thing to the audience.
This song is so uncomfortably beautiful that it feels like I’m in a trance. It has so much alien and powerful emotions to it that others may not even hear, it feels like it could even make my emotions more extreme
Mica Levi captures the feeling of love in this piece, and it´s a melody based on melancholia and beauty of love. She nailed it. A talented woman and a great soundtrack.
I saw the movie a few months ago and still have to think about it. There are so many facets. I think it's so nice that the movie can do without much dialogue to still tell the story. And the music just fits perfectly with the movie. You can really see how much the musical artist broke his head about it.
I'm obsessed with this track/ it's like laying on a rooftop at night looking up at the stars.. and bleeding out. painful and beautiful- increasingly lifeless yet aggressively alive
In my own honest, humble opinion - the greatest score of all time. The most organic marriage of visuals and sound ever put to film. A masterpiece where one can't exist without the other. I honestly can't think of another more perfectly honed collaboration. Two extraordinary talents who's singular work is amplified by they're team work. As good as both mediums get if you ask me 🙋
The melody shifts between major and minor constantly, sliding atonally from one to the next, itself using 'alien' chromatic modality to get there - but it gets there anyway, even if it does so by being different. That's why I love this piece. It displays exactly what is being depicted in the scene by its specific choice of sound.
Right before alien technology causes your internal organs to surge out of your anus, followed almost instantly by your nervous system and collapsed skeleton, leaving only your skin behind to float in an impossible, alien void...?
You see something looks like a man having white skin long limbs with 7 ft height you realized the name of it that you saw before in internet it’s called SCP-037 it’s started looking at you and scream then you wake up from the dream calming yourself that it’s just a dream but you heard something familiar it’s the same screaming you heard from the dream there’s loud footstep on the stair coming closer and closer to your rooms your legs feels weak you’re in a real anxiety and sudden the footstep is stoping in front of your rooms then you realized it didn’t know how to open the door your anxiety is start to faded but then you heard something from your back it’s Mario 💀
Ive never felt a song bring me so much love, terror and angst. This song always bring me back to my psychedelic journeys. I'll ALWAYS HAVE A SPECIAL PLACE FOR THIS SONG IN MY HEART.
I feel like I should always come back to this song... It hit me in a vulnerable years ago, and everytime I listen to it, it instantly breaks me. It somehow really gets under my skin, and touches my heart directly, in an act I can only describe as a caress. Somehow. Deep down. I feel like the alien.
Il est tellement rare de pouvoir écouter des musiques d'une telle beauté,s'ajoute a ça la scène du film sublime le tout.Magnifique,un grand moment de musique et de cinéma.
This song feels suited after a final fight in the blown-up ruins of a building just in the middle of a snowfall. Baddie is defeated, the goodie is victorious, yet it’s the middle of nowhere and there’s nobody out there to save that person to give them warmth, shelter and nourishment. Only thing the good guy can do is sit in the dark blizzard and with only limited of time on Earth left, reflect their memories and loved ones. After the frame slowly fades to black, end credits rolls while the rest of this hauntingly beautiful music cue plays. Reminds me of The Thing.
The entire soundtrack is like inanimate matter on the brink of life, just never quite able to achieve that eureka moment, thus, agony and anguish and an eerie melancholy engulf the surrounding atmosphere.
"With an undying passion like the fire and hotness and all the burning of the sun, she wanted this. This feeling. This validation. This experiment. This experience. This hot blanket of adulation and warmth. His love... With an inescapable desperation: she needed him. For too long she had gone without the company of human warmth."

To tell you the truth, I think that intimate performance he delivered that day was even better than the actual movie's version. I was haunted by it despite not even having watched the film.
For me, this song gives a sense of begin under the water, in a deepest part of the ocean, fisics don't apply on you, your hair is swimmimg around, the sense of freedom and the suffocation are fighting each other to know who is going to control your next movement. I feel so desolated and empty, I am floating alone in the middle of all this time and space, I don't remember anything, I don't remember who I am and all looks so distant and you feel so distant. I don't want to exist... I really exist?
There's no where else to be except where you are
Hope you’re doing ok buddy
I know it's far, but just be where you are.
This is one memorable soundtrack, it was stuck in my head for days, so simple yet disturbing
Master piece film
This sounds like music. Yes, definitely music. That’s what it is.
Mica Levi is amazing at film scoring
My group always plays this track whenever one of our beloved characters die in our DND game. Needless to say I bawl my eyes out every time
This is it, children! The ultimate musical achievement of mankind!
The beginning represents when you fall in love.
2:19 represents lost and heartbreak.
Film horror should be more like this film. Not monsters that jump scare. This is true horror.
Heard this on the radio yesterday... life changing music..
This is gorgeous!
Mica Levi IS goosebumps.
Love(Under The Skin)-Good Ending
The Alien(Annihilation)-Neutral Ending
Reborn(Hereditary)-Bad Ending

@Tadhg O'Rourke no it was Colin Stetson he’s amazing
Glad it’s not just me that makes a link between these three films.
