- Conference Realignment has brought us to a new world, and part of that new world is where Big Ten games are televised. 2024 is the first season where FOX, CBS, and NBC are FULLY entrenched in the Big Ten TV deal.
Will Ohio State and Michigan dominate the national TV landscape? Will Oregon & USC be the most featured on all the new Pac 12 teams? - กีฬา
You already got one right with Nebraska vs Colorado on NBC
THE White Out >>>> Penn State versus just another OSU. (originally before UW & OU were added, USC's first game in the Big 10 was to be THE White Out!!)
Stripe Out >>>>> Penn State versus UCLA
The Toothless Wonders of West Virginia are expecting a "nationally" televised Night Game against Penn State.
Notre dame and Florida state will 7pm game week 9.
Awesome picks Big Ten Ted, I hope it ends up like you said. You put out great Big Ten coverage and looking forward to seeing more of it.
West Coast teams will be @3pm or 3:30pm eastern time slots for prime time.
I was just on X/twitter talking about the Penn state vs West Virginia game and what time it might be at!
Notre Dame will have likely 2 “home” NBC prime time games. Florida State on November 9th in week 11 and Army in week 13 on November 23rd to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the two schools first playing with game being played at Yankee stadium. Need to remember the notre dame angle unfortunately. You remembered big 12 options for Fox can’t forget about ND possibilities for NBC
As a die hard Nittany Lions 🦁 fan, just heard that Ohio State coming to Happy Valley might be that stupid big ten noon kickoff bullshit!!! Ridiculous, not just as a Nittany Lions fan, that should be a night game and Whiteout for my Nittany Lions!!!
Haven't heard that. Was hoping I could speak that game as the Whiteout into existence. Personally, I think Penn State should have Ohio State as a protected rival and when they play in Happy Valley every other year should always be the Whiteout on NBC. Penn State-Ohio State Whiteouts are at a different level than Whiteouts vs other teams IMO.
Don't expect to see any Northwestern home games on the over-the-air networks since the team is rebuilding and their stadium is getting rebuilt. Also, FOX may save a couple of Big XII games for Big Noon Saturday and NBC may ho,d a couple of prime time slots for Notre Dame.
You did a great job and showed respect equally to each program!
Big 10 Ted, your games selections and time slots were intriguing! Hope we get to see most of them this season! Fight On! Angel USC'78
These are really good matchups. The only change to predictions might be the Iowa-Minn game not being prime time. Iowa might have too many of these prime slots. Big Ten ratings last year were great, but this year will be huge.
100% we need OSU in the white out
Nothing like 105K being quit by the half.
I will give you an underrated week one matchup. Fresno St @ Michigan.
Could see that being close at halftime before Michigan gets their feet under them. Fresno State is not an easy Week 1 draw for the champs.
Fresno is not just playing Michigan on the road but UCLA. If there is a G-5 school I would love to see get rewarded it is the Bulldogs. Why? They almost always play a tough game on the road. You have to respect that.
Fresno State is sneaky good
Manifest that Penn State-Ohio State White Out
Michigan won’t play night games after October 31st at home…he has that game wrong….
I'm especially interested in what games end up being chosen for the Saturdays in November after the fall back time change. There was controversy about that last season. I don't believe Maryland, Rutgers or Nebraska would object to hosting a game. The west coast schools is a no-brainer to host.
Penn State @ Minnesota and Fresno State @ UCLA screams Friday Night Fox.
Networks definitely pick off of brand name(UM, tOSU, USC, Oregon) of the team or opponent, but other than that last years results will have influence. Illinois-Nebraska and Wisconsin-Nebraska are your 2 red herrings. Wisconsin is the winningest 2023 team of the three with a 5-4 conference and 7-6 overall record, ouch?!?
Colorado buffaloes versus Nebraska cornhuskers Friday night under the lights in Lincoln. It'll be epic. I don't care who broadcasts it. Just watching it. I haven't heard your prediction so I'll hang up and listen😊
Nebraska should win that game
@@jkay8it Nebraska should've won a lot of games over the past 10 years, but they are a consistent underachiever.
That's a breaking news story!!@@fecat93
@@fecat93 The same can be said about Colorado.
Both those teams are trash. Absolute losers , two of the most losing programs in the last 10 years. Stupid
Well, you've already got three Big Noon games right: Texas/Michigan, Bama/Wisconsin, Michigan/Ohio St
Got Notre Dame/Purdue right on CBS, but USC/Michigan will also be on CBS
When do you think the league will announce their Friday night slate? Starting to think Nebraska/Indiana screams that time slot.
The Nebraska vs Colorado announcement is the start, you will start to see the first Big group of games announced for the next couple of weeks. I would say we will know some but not all of the Big Friday FOX games during this time.
Fox will have big games on Friday nights. I would say that more big 12 games will be on Friday because of some of the Big 10 schools are against having Friday night games because of High school football in their state. But, Fox could flex their muscle and have more Big 10 schools play regardless of their feelings. The big losers are going to be the Big 10 network and Peacock in my opinion. It's going to be interesting to find out what the schedule for TV will be.
Big Ten Network can show the worst conference matchups and still receive good ratings for the matchup. The fact that it exists gives a nice ratings floor for subprime matchups.
As far as OSU at PSU for the white out? USC at PSU will be the "white out". OSU and PSU have two of the largest fan bases in college football. Does Fox just give up one of their largest televised games so that NBC and PSU can have a white out? For the foreseeable future, Ohio State/ Penn State will be on big noon kickoff because Fox will not give up one of their largest televised games.
My Nittany Lions 🦁 play at USC, not in Happy Valley!!! 🤦♂️
@@kevinchandler179 I'm sorry, it must be the "Welcome to the B1G for UCLA that'll be the white out. Might as well initiate the Bruins right.
oregon at wisconsin has me terrified as a ducks fan i know what we do yearly and that has an L written all over it lmao
This Badger fan certainly wouldn't say no to that result...
Colorado was big last year because of Deion. That apple has lost some of it's luster and I think Colorado falls back to bottom of the barrel ratings.
There will be high expectation and interest in Colorado coming out of the gate since they won’t be in a PAC 12 stuffed with future NFL top draft pick QBs. They will be expected to be a top 3 or 4 in the Big 12 with Utah, Oklahoma State
and Kansas State.
What is your obsession with Nebraska? For the past decade their expectations have been humongous and they have consistently underachieved.
They have the best fanbase in the B1G, but until they start winning games the only way they get the primo slot is by being somebody's +1.
Well they are now scheduled on NBC that night. Eyeballs watch the N!
They weren't bowl eligible, but were 4# in Big Ten ratings. They are a good media draw.
Week 8 is an oh no week SC, Oregon could lose.
The Big12 games on Fox will be playing at 3:30 and 7 on Fox. Cant see any at Big Noon
Penn St @ West Virginia could be Big Noon Big XII game ( unless ABC/ESPN takes it)..
I agree. Big 12 games will be mostly used by FOX as counter programming vs the number 2 B1G game on Saturday night and the 3 afternoon game on CBS
as well as the SEC games on ESPN/ABC
All bignoon games are big ten games. Big12 has 230 and 7 slots on fox
Look back at last year, first year of the Big Ten TV deal and there were multiple Colorado games and even a Oklahoma/Cincinnati game.
@@BigTenTed That was last year when CBS didn't have a full slate of games. I believe these are EXCLUSIVE windows. I also doubt Michigan NW will be a night game, especially with 2 WC games that are better match ups. The biggest question (and we never to be able to get an answer) is who is exactly picking first and second each week
@BigTenTed last year was different because the TV contract had completely kick in. Starting this season that big noon slot has to be a big ten game. The only slot that can be switched is the NBC slot if notre dame has a more appealing game then NBC can switch the big ten to 330 if they get the ok from CBS
ND has an awful home slate. Exception: Week 11 versus Florida State. I could see NBC taking ND prime time, and CBS or Fox taking Washington @ Penn State at night.
Why do people still call it big10? Get a new name. There's frikin 18 teams.
It should just be The B1G!
@@jojowhite9296 ... Yeah I can live with that
If an 18 team conference can be called the Big Ten. Big Noon Kickoff can be played at 3pm. 🤣
Big 10 Ted, USC will beat all Big 10 opponents except Michigan. Fight On! Angel USC'78
Ya right!
Ha!!!! My Nittany Lions 🦁 are going to curb stomp USC!!!
Kevin! That's the spirit! Looking forward to the Trojans putting another dagger in Penn State's heart! Fight On!
@@angelobregon4564 Another, Joe Pa used to beat them like they stole something!!! WE ARE
