It's fair to have more teams in the Playoffs!! Some Teams have a Much Harder Schedule & Some Teams have a Much Easier Schedule! This is Going to Cause Upsets & That's Fair!
What bowl games do you project each team to go to? The four quarterfinals this season are the Rose, Fiesta, Sugar, and Peach Bowls. The semis are the Orange and Cotton Bowls. Well, if you have Georgia at #1, you’d think the Bulldogs would choose to play in the Peach Bowl in their home state. I have watched Franklin find a way to lose too many games he should have won. When the chips are down, his decision making has cost that team. PS May have the talent, but it isn’t at coaching. My concern this year is at QB. Can Allar play to his potential when it matters?
What most of you guys are missing is PJ Fleck. Love them or hate them, no one could go undefeated without their head coach for 6 games, all while dealing with the BS that they were cleared of, and win the Natty in the playoff era. Why? Because no team ever did it before. Because of that, they’ll forever go down in college football lore. Missouri, conversely truly lost everything and even with that soft schedule, it’ll be difficult to make the playoffs, imo for them. osu/Penn St/ Oregon will flex their muscles and show why the B1G is so tough. Your thinking is flawed. I do like it, though. LMAO! I would love to see 3 Big Ten teams in the top 4 but... I think this is the year where we see Xichigan lose a game that they really shouldn't have. I also think that Oregon will slip up, too. It is getting about that time for my Buckeyes, too. Georgia may have the better offense against Ohio State... Ohio State may have the better defense. However, it would be very easy for the Bucks to have the better offense. Very easy for Georgia to have the better defense, too. I would love to see my Buckeyes get another shot at Georgia. Awesome stuff, Sam. We might need at least another one of these before the season starts. Things change... lol.
I could see Michigan lose to Texas, USC, Oregon, Northwestern (trap game before OSU), and/or Ohio State. I think Georgia and Ohio State are in their own league this year, but I give Georgia the edge because I think they have a better staff (particularly head coach and strength and conditioning), quarterback, and offensive line. There will certainly be updates to these predictions.

Nebraska could easy be a 10 win team with a competent qb. If it wasn't for turnovers, poor qb play, and lack of weapons in wr room they would have beat every team besides michigan last year. And all of those issues have been arguably resolved.

Whoever gets left out is just going to further complain and you're not going to get a natty winner outside of the top 4 anyway. So the expansion is honestly pointless in my opinion.
Georgia wasnt in the top 4 and very easily could have won a natty last year, as could have a healthy FSU team. Ohio state could have won it last year (if UMICH didnt exist)

Even with all of that, Ohio State needed a game winning drive and a game winning field goal at the end to win 48-45. Utah is going to be INSANELY talented on offense and defense this season. Aren’t as good as their seed indicates IN YOUR BIASED OPINION. Guess what? Those teams can prove you wrong and prove that they were good enough by WINNING THEIR QUARTERFINAL GAMES, also known as the New Year’s FOUR. The concept of NY6 games is no longer really accurate because two of those former six aren’t going to be around New Year’s but a week after that.
The other thing with Michigan is it was a senior laden team last year. Way too many new, inexperienced players plus too many questions linger about the coaching staff. A new QB doesn’t help.
So Liberty is going 🤔 to the Playoff. I like the Flames. Still they don't have a chance. Maybe they can beat an unprepared Power 5 team with opt outs in a Bowl Game. They can ruin undefeated season hopes for Coastal Carolina. Yet in a playoff Liberty is overmatched. I was thinking movie 🎬 rif a double digit seed wins the Playoff. If Liberty wins it all a miniseries could be spawned.
Liberty has the best shot, but they better hope they are the only undefeated team. If anyone from the AAC or MWC goes undefeated they will lose the spot as their SOS wont be even remotely close.
Lol. If 2023 Oregon's exact team was playing this season I would pick them to win the National Championship. I think this is going to be a down year in college football and a deep and experienced team like Oregon will be able to benefit from the chaos.
Your Michigan biased is embarrassing! I get being a fan but come on. Every reason you said for Texas and Oregon being lower Michigan is WAY worse. New coaches lost their entire starting offensive line. Laughable
Every reason? So Texas is just automatically going to get better on defense despite losing a plethora of starters and depth pieces, and also not have a great defensive staff? And Oregon's defense is totally going to withstand physical offenses this year like they did with Washington's last year? Michigan has a ton of questions on offense and on parts of their staff, no doubt, but they are not worse in most categories compared to those two schools because their defense returns All-American players and several great second stringers, I cannot say the same for Oregon and Texas' defense.
@@collegefootballwithsam no but to assume Texas won’t be very good because of losing key pieces and not recognizing Michigan lost more is confusing. You brought up Texas’s wide receivers as a concern and I’d take them over Michigans any day. There are rumors of will jonson playing wide receiver done because of how mid Michigans wide receivers are.
Ohio state is now looking like they have 3! Good QBs and Sayin is looking to be a stud, the kid lost his stripe super early. If your not a osu fan it means sayin popped off in practice and is doin the work, this kid wants to start he threads the ball to smith another insane freshman between Burke and SEC best Caleb downs. I’d be scared asf lol Ohio state easily has the best roster and they want to win.
Memphis will take that G5 spot! Who is on liberty schedule that has you penciling them in? And if Boise wins the mountain west and gets 2 out of 3 vs the beavers, wazzou, and at Oregon they will get in!
The same people screaming Michigan is overrated are the same people that said Michigan had no chance of winning a Natty when Sam called the 2023 season almost perfectly. Go Blue! Love the content Sam.
These are not comparable teams, the 2023 team is so much better than this current team, the ONLY way UMICH is a comparable team compared to last year is if alex orji is a stud and considering he hasnt even thrown a pass theres reason to be skeptical. The entire offense is a question mark
What is so good about OSU defense? They literally have stopped Michigan in the second half over the last 3 games, ONCE! How is that better than Georgia???
Wait. Isn't Utah in the Pac-12? Lol. It is going to take me a while to get used to this. Of course I know about the Big Ten. The Big 12 will be a mess for me next year and I honestly don't know who joins those couple of Pac-12 teams that are still there.
Oregon State and Washington State have a schedule alliance with the MWC. They may try to poach the MWC teams in the future, but the MWC arguably now has more stability than the PAC and ACC. Their media contracts dont end until 2025, and a lot of the MWC teams have a hate relationship with the PAC in general. Unless the PAC can somehow garuntee like a 3-5 increase on media deals long term Im not sure those teams join the PAC2 (especially considering even with how weak the PAC is they still are trying power moves on the MWC). For this next season I really dont see OSU or WSU winning more than 8 games. They are gonna go positive in records vs the MWC, but they play the hardest teams in the MWC all on the road, which even at a neutral or home site it wouldnt be easy to play the best of the MWC. I think Fresno State and Wyoming both sweep the PAC, Boise State, UNLV and Air Force Split them, and SDSU takes out WSU in a surprise. it will be an interesting year to see if the PAC has better records than the MWC champ. I dont think they survive the MWC conference record, but a lot of MWC teams play (yet again) ridiculous OOC schedules. If by some miracle a MWC team actually goes undefeated they are undeniably the G5 seed, and they really should be like a 6th seed at worst. That conference has OOC road games against Michigan, Oregon, Texas, Wisconsin, NC State, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Iowa, UNC, Louisville, UCLA, USC, Washington, and KState.
Florida state, michigan and missouri wildly overrated here. Missouri and michigan going to be falling to earth after a great year last year and bama will be great again, but this first year is going to be a big transition. Saban was there forever and everyone agrees he was the best.
I cannot trust someone who refuses to use the portal yet has average roster retention. We will know in Week 1 whether Clemson is a contender or not. Currently, I am more inclined to say that Georgia will use Clemson as a sounding board than Clemson will compete with Georgia.

Sam, I am not drinking the Oregon Kool-Aid, their biggest liability might be Lanning. He makes poor in-game decisions and has not even managed to win a conference title, despite Uncle Phil opening his checkbook to buy him a top-flight roster
They might treat them like the Liberty plus they're also playing The Mountain West Conference so they can potentially be that other team that gets in instead of Liberty

@@collegefootballwithsam Yeah... but you see that things are gonna be tough. I can't wait. Gonna be a good year.
The more teams in the playoffs the better they’ve needed to do it
Damn I’ve watched about 4-5 of your videos over the past 2 days I love college football like everyone else but I’m gonna say it YOU ARE CLEARLY A BIG10 FAN NO DOUBT ABOUT IT YOU HAVE NEBRASKA RANKED AT #13-15 preseason and Rutgers Iowa etc ranked higher than anyone else and you actually BELIEVE IN WHAT YOU’RE SAYING CONTENT CREATING IS WHAT YOU DO JUST A PIECE OF ADVICE DONT BE BIASED IN YOUR OPINION AND YOUR CHANNEL WILL GROW
Nebraska could easy be a 10 win team with a competent qb. If it wasn't for turnovers, poor qb play, and lack of weapons in wr room they would have beat every team besides michigan last year. And all of those issues have been arguably resolved.
@@strangedayz24 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Nebraska hasn’t been relevant since Eric Crouch went out getting folded up like a lawn chair against Miami in the National Championship the ORIGINAL BIG TEN before this season is so far behind offensively outside of OHIO ST PENN ST MICHIGAN its sad honestly
How can u leave ole miss out of this
He gots liberty in there
sam i love your site and i respect your opinion
It would be crazy but having Georgia vs Alabama and Ohio State vs Michigan happen 3 times all in the same year would be pretty cool
Will determine who is truly the best team …
That’s not cool. That’s not what college football is about. Playing another top 5 team in the regular season is supposed to mean something. Conference championships are supposed to mean something
If the quarter final really is SEC v B1G then the whole thing looks rigged by the 'conference realignment ' gods.
I see 3 SEC teams in the Simi finals.. Texas Georgia and Alabama..
@@billnyedoesminecraftjoseph8379 Remind me why Georgia didn't "easily win" the natty last year as well as FSU.
@@realtalk3567 because im speaking in uncertainties and likewise so are you, how would you know only the top 4 teams could win the natty? Heres how, bc only the top 4 have ever had the chance to. Thats how the CFB worked. Had last year been a 6 year playoff id easily take georgia over everybody outside of maybe UMICH, that includes alabama. Winning a game head to head ≠ being the better team
@@billnyedoesminecraftjoseph8379 Losing a game head to head will lose you a natty though.
@@realtalk3567 bama won head to head v georgia 2021 then lost the natty to them
I still think Larry Culpepper's model is the best.
Love your videos Sam. Another great video. But I don’t agree about Michigan. They’re not going to be as dominant without their head coach, defensive coordinator, and starting quarterback from last year. Especially playing Ohio State, Texas, and Oregon they could easily loose two games
Predictions are like assholes, everyone has one!!! Lol 😂
It's not even close to the fall and everyone thinks they know what is going to happen!!! What about injuries, underachieving or super tough schedules??? WE ARE
Excited for this video!!
Yeah. I think he did well. Don't ever like hearing about my Buckeyes losing twice in the same video, though.
Oops. 2 times twice.
Go IU! IU 12 seed cinderella run to CFP semi final Cignetti first season!
You forget that Utah LOST CAM RISING TO INJURY IN THAT GAME. Utah’s ENTIRE SECONDARY also was absent in that game, which lead to the insane games by C.J. Stroud and Jaxon Smith Njigba. Even with all of that, Ohio State needed a game winning drive and a game winning field goal at the end to win 48-45. Utah is going to be INSANELY talented on offense and defense this season. Don’t go back to some game 3 seasons ago as your benchmark for what will happen THIS YEAR. Seems a bit lazy to me. You have no idea how good either team is going to be.
As a Michigan fan hello we have to figure out our qb situation
We absolutely do, but I think that we can win without elite QB play just like we have in most of our games over the past three seasons.
They won't make it past Texas in week 2 much less OSU and Oregon
@@williamtatman2874 dont mind us losing few games as we lost our coach and best players yea you might be right this year we might lose to texas and ohio and possibly Oregon bit thats ok
1 year to figure things out is not a bad thing good thing we won yhe natty to tale pressure off a little
@@williamtatman2874those teams play no good defense you are absolutely delusional
It should be 16 teams in the playoffs. No byes. if you're such a good top seed that #16 seed shouldn't be tough.
Michigan, Penn State, Alabama overrated. Ohio State being underrated and Ole Miss not even being included downrates this list.
I think they should start drug testing before having a podcast? Lol 🤣 😆 😂
Sam Keaton Ellis ran out of eligibility, but it doesn't matter because he didn't matter, but K.J. Winston and J. Reed are the absolute best damn safety tandem in the nation!!!! WE ARE
This was kinda pretty ok. Lol. Go, Bucks!
Thanks again for your support. I appreciate it a lot.
@collegefootballwithsam We gotta keep the lights on while you go to.... that.... school. Lol. I could be a Heisman member but I would still throw money at you here and then I'd be eating ramen. Lol. Love your stuff, Sam.
Michigan doesn't nearly have enough to win the big 10 if they make the playoffs they will be a low seed like 12th or 11th seed
The other thing with Michigan is it was a senior laden team last year. Way too many new, inexperienced players plus too many questions linger about the coaching staff. A new QB doesn’t help.
@@GBU61michigan doesn't have any new qb alex orgy has been in the system 2-3 years
So Liberty is going 🤔 to the Playoff.
Memphis or Boise will get that spot!
Shocker. Sam is all over Michigan again. NO WAY........i cant believe it...

I’m getting sick of “The big-12” talk, there’s 16 teams in that conference! Call it how it is. Please!
I'm bullish on Boise state I think they'll be better than Liberty
How is Michigan going to get a bye, when they are going 8-4? Lol
Win a conference but if it's 8-4 that doesn't win it
Michigan isn't going 8-4 oregon isn't beating them usc isn't beating them texas isn't beating them and Ohio state softies aren't beating them
predicting dan to play kalen the first round in tuscaloosa is just dirty work sam i dont approve lmao
Lol. If 2023 Oregon's exact team was playing this season I would pick them to win the National Championship. I think this is going to be a down year in college football and a deep and experienced team like Oregon will be able to benefit from the chaos.
Your SEC teams are just plain wrong.
You don’t know very much, do you!
Memphis will take that G5 spot! Who is on liberty schedule that has you penciling them in? And if Boise wins the mountain west and gets 2 out of 3 vs the beavers, wazzou, and at Oregon they will get in!
Do you really have Michigan at number 2? 🤔
Lol 🤦♂️
The same people screaming Michigan is overrated are the same people that said Michigan had no chance of winning a Natty when Sam called the 2023 season almost perfectly.
Go Blue! Love the content Sam.
These are not comparable teams, the 2023 team is so much better than this current team, the ONLY way UMICH is a comparable team compared to last year is if alex orji is a stud and considering he hasnt even thrown a pass theres reason to be skeptical. The entire offense is a question mark
Why does no mention how good the playoff flim will be for furture NFL drafts when talking about the playoffs
11-1 or 12-0 ND gets the #5 seed for sure
Oregon is NOT a Cinderella story dude! They are a powerhouse nearly every year!
What is so good about OSU defense? They literally have stopped Michigan in the second half over the last 3 games, ONCE! How is that better than Georgia???

YOU LEFT OLE MISS OUT COMPLETELY LMAO!! JUST LOST ALL CREDIBILITY
I will give you an early preview for my next CFP predictions video. I have Ole Miss in the CFP.
Michigan is not winning the big 10 this season they will have at least two losses Ohio State and Texas
Such clarity Sam although half your projections are off ….
Florida state, michigan and missouri wildly overrated here. Missouri and michigan going to be falling to earth after a great year last year and bama will be great again, but this first year is going to be a big transition. Saban was there forever and everyone agrees he was the best.
The michigan glazing really hurts your credibility when it comes to this list.
Can see Michigan having three losses Ohio State Oregon and Texas could be four if they played Penn State
Sam I usually think you are pretty fair with being a Michigan fan…. But if you think Michigan is winning the big 10 next year you’ve lost it 😂
Michigan 2 lmao, Michigan will be lucky to even get in.
No way in heck does Utah lose to CU! No way! And not a Utah fan but rather USC Trojans...
Alabama will be a bust this year
Here we go. Wonder where/if Clemson makes your list? 🤔

You can't see beyond the Big Ten. Get some balance.
My question is how can Washington st and Oregon st make the playoffs since there conference is gone
They might treat them like the Liberty plus they're also playing The Mountain West Conference so they can potentially be that other team that gets in instead of Liberty
LOL what are you smoking? Whatever it is, you need to get your money back!
