***** Would love love love a video for Jimmy Shaw (Metric) but I'd guess that not many people know who he is. A little less metal than your usual :P Great series, really enjoying it so far!
Dimebag was the complete package, man. He could chugg, he could shred, slow, fast, all of it. One of the goddamn best metal guitarist to have walked the earth
Dime's sound alone was gnarly... but it was meant to sit in with Rex's bass sound that brought all the mids in. That combination was what really hitting the spot properly :)
exactly, that's why no one can truly sound like dime. Not to many people know exactly what how he used his equipment, and i've been trying to get his tone right for years, and still haven't
For any curious parties Dimebag's tone came from a few key pieces of gear. We all know about the guitars and the Randall solid states but to really dial in the nuance of Dime's tone you need a MXR 6 band EQ which he would push the mids around 700 Hz. Next he used a Furman PQ3 which he would scoop the mids on, these two combined aloud him to get that scooped sound while still being able to cut through. I've met many young guitarists who scoop their mids and wonder why they don't cut through a live mix. For those who have that problem let me say you need some mid range to cut through otherwise you will sound muffled now matter how loud you push your amp. Lastly Dime used a MXR Flanger/Doubler which he used heavily. The doubler really helped get him that thick beefy Godlike tone. Dime's tone came from the MXR 6 band, the Furman PQ3 or PQ4, the MXR flanger/doubler, and the Randall RG100 heads. If your wondering this information comes from Dime's faithful guitar tech who worked with Dime throughout the Pantera touring years. I think its important to find your own tone as a serious guitarist but emulating the sound of your influences can be a good starting point on the journey of finding a sound that is unique to you. If you can only afford one piece of gear I highly recommend picking up an MXR EQ preferably a 10 band. They really do help dial in a much tighter sound.
+Kris Ross Thanks for the info man really apreciate it you should check out keith merrow and wes hauch if you haven't already... they made a video for the dimebucker in which they in my opionion created one of the greatest lead sounds someone could imagine very dime-like if you will
+Kris Ross perfect desciption, owning the gear and in order to give more detailed infos i'm gonna say that by both playing and watching rig setups, his mids were cutted just in the pq3/pq4. mxr had a "frown face" eq. randalls had fairy pushed presence and bass (around 3 o'clock) and more or less halfway (noon) high and mids. eq's were wired to randall input, the doubler in the loop. Almost everyone considers the doubler secondary, but I can ensure it and 6 band are the most important pieces to get a liking sound.
+Kris Ross I was going to mention the same thing about the EQ. It sounds so completely wrong but when you scoop the mids on the amp you're scooping a very wide range. If you boost specific frequencies going into the amp you not only "override" the amps EQ range but you're also pushing more signal into the front end and altering the amount of gain you'll be getting. It completely changes the way the amp acts. This is why Dimebag didn't need to use active pickups. The EQ essentially acted the same as the preamp in the pickups would.
1. Sound like Chuck Schulinder of Death 2. Sound like Dave Mustaine of Megadeth 3. Sound like Kerry King of Slayer 4.Sound like Jeff Hanneman of Slayer 5. Sound like Jesper Strømblad of ex In Flames 6. Sound like Mikael Akerfeldt of Opeth
i really want to know what you need to sound like Slayer on Divine Intervention...... i watch Slayer on D. Intervention tour with Machine Head 1994 is Sofia ( Bulgaria ) and sound are the same !!!!!!!! i never heard something like that before and after, sound for riffs are so uniqe.
I'm 7 years late lmao, but Chuck's rig wasnt expensive, quite the opposite, he used a Marshall Valvestate 8100, and i believe those are dirt cheap, i got mine used for like 100 bucks. And his signature Stealth that goes for like $1500 as of now.
To get the basic tone, not the exact rig is really simple. Seriously, you can get a Randall RG1503 and a Randall cab for about £550-600, a couple of Eq pedals (one for the front and one in the loop) for less than £150, and a decent guitar + dimebucker esque pickup (anything with a bit of bite will do) for around £500. Seriously, that is nowhere near as expensive as most players' basic rigs.
I think that while Dime had the signature humbucker he still preferred to use the Bill Lawrence L500XL pickups in the bridge of his guitars. Same bridge pickup Nuno Bettencourt favours if I remember correctly.
Bad Mouth Men well the whole point of this series of videos is to sound like X guitar player without busting the bank. i think an n2 or n4 would bust most peoples' bank.
T Salty It's not his signature color scheme but it does have his specs down to the last nut and screw. That series gave customers options on color besides the stripes. Chappers and The Captain did a review on them, check it out!
I think that would be a bit difficult since they pretty much change their tone and sound after each album so they really don't have a "signature" sound.
The closest Ive come to achieving Dime's tone was with the Line 6 Firehawk 1500 amp, which allows you to download other user's settings. One guy uploaded a patch called "Dimebag's Rythm", and he nailed it.
Sound like Dimebag Darrel without busting the bank: step 1: set mid to 0 step 2: set high to 10 step 3: turn gain up to 10 step 4: ...there is no "step 4", that's it
Honestly, no one can truly sound like the man himself. It was more his style that made him stand out, and I don't believe anyone can do it EXACTLY like him, let alone really close.
Have a Whammy DT. I highly recommend it if anyone is looking for a Whammy. It offers so much with the DT section, true bypass and is MIDI controlable. Great effect.
Say what you want about Dimes tone or scooped mids, but its so fun to get that ultra crunchy tone, turn the volume up and go nuts. You just feel super angry and powerful haha it's almost therapeutic in a way.
Cameron Wilkes That's what I'm saying. I do agree that the jaguar does a good job of capturing "his sound" in general, but Smith's era Johnny still sounds a bit different especially considering he used a wide range of guitars back then, much wider than what he seemed to use after the fact.
+Cameron Wilkes I meant Jag/Fender amp has been his setup for quite a while, and it was a compliment because he plays all his old stuff on it and it sounds good. But yeah, he's used a lot of cool guitars throughout his career like Rics and 335s.
Bass part (Rex Brown) -Rex used with Pantera many basses with humbuckers to get a perfect thick tone, they only had one guitar. Jackson JS3 W Kelly Bird is a good option -Ampeg BA 112 V2. Some drive on -Boss Bass Chorus fot some songs -MXR bass Distorsion
+Vinyl Collector I take that back, upon further research I found that he did use both types, however whenever I try to replicate his sound I find that single coils do the most justice
You forgot the 'Without busting the bank' part when you bought a twelve hundred dollar guitar and a five hundred and ninety dollar head, the price of the amp wasn't even included
I own the 15 watt version of the Blackstar Rabea is playing through. It's a brilliant amp. Really great if you want hard rock and Metal, and good for blues as well. i actually really want to hear it cranked to the max, but I don't think my parents would be very happy lol.
A7X ANIMALS It's got Syn Gates' specs written all over it, no matter how you look at it. He's had his hands in the Black Jack Series even before his signature striped paint scheme came out to the public, this is just a different take on the color if you wanted all of his signature specs wrapped up in a different look. It comes in that color and I believe blue, then black. There might be others but don't hold me to that. I'm a huge a7x fan and I own a blue Black Jack Series Schecter, I loved the blue because it just stands out over the sea of black guitars and it's just beautiful I get compliments all the time over it, I would've picked red as my second choice but I waited for blue after I seen chappers and the captain review them and chappers played the blue one and it just ingrained into my head that I had to own that beautiful beast of an instrument.
Great video! How did you set up Blackstar? I think that set up of gear (amp, guitar tunning, pedals etc.) is very important in that kind of videos, please add it to next one :)
Cheap solid state amp is Randall RG80.. Dimebag used Randall Warhead amps. At the moment, I am using a Schecter C-1 Platinum FR Sustaniac through a Digitech RP7 valve digital processor through a Randal RG80 combo 1x12 with a second 1x12 for a good stereo sound. I play more of a prog metal, but the high gain pantera sound is fun to play with
Sounds like: John Petrucci - Dream Theater (nice seven string opportunity) Steph Carpenter - Deftones(same as above ) Jesse Lacey/Vinnie Accardi - Brand New (they have some really unique setups, would be a challenge) Adam Jones - Tool (Good range of sounds)
This series of videos is a good idea for you! Nice one. Although you need a Furman for dimebag. Dimebag was a wizard and without the right pieces of gear you don't get the set bonus.
I was in a Pantera Tribute band for 5 years. All of the times we practiced never sounded great until we turned up REALLY loud. Dime ever played with that much gain though, it was more of a SUPER aggressive crunch.
Someguy528 it is a better guitar and one dimebag actually used. Not saying the guitar he used waxsn't nice just pointing out that a Washburn would have been the best choice.
+ZuBeRCraZyBassY cos they suck. i had a cheapish (£200ish) dean a while back. worst guitar i've ever owned. worse than the strat copy i got from Argos.
I own a dean dave mustaine zero . 499$ US. That guitar aint shit. That is great shit at affordable pricing. IF you pay that less as you did for a guitar, ofcourse it will be shitty !
To be fair, If that was the case with dean they woudnt be relevant today in the affordable guitar category which they are. Comparing two companies is just not smart as you will always have better things to say about one you paid more for or got a better deal at or if you have a bad experience with either . so.
Hey guys, thanks for all your suggestions, we are listening and planning, this is a permanent feature now, for me to create these videos!
+Rabea Massaad YEEESS I fucking love these
***** Fckin size :-D haha
***** thx for taking the time for doing this videos
***** Would love love love a video for Jimmy Shaw (Metric) but I'd guess that not many people know who he is. A little less metal than your usual :P Great series, really enjoying it so far!
+Rabea Massaad still say we need a sound like Andy Summers/The Police have't had anything close to his tone yet
Dimebag was the complete package, man. He could chugg, he could shred, slow, fast, all of it. One of the goddamn best metal guitarist to have walked the earth
One one of the best. He was theeeeeeeeee best
THE best.
Dime's sound alone was gnarly... but it was meant to sit in with Rex's bass sound that brought all the mids in. That combination was what really hitting the spot properly :)
Sound Like Dimebag Darrell BY Busting The Bank!
Just get a dean ml and a good randal, nothing too expensive for a "busting the bank" :D
Still, It'd be cool to see a full fledged authentic set up.
I'm aware. I just wanna see them do it.
Just because you have dimes set up doesn't mean you'll sound like dime. it's how he used it, not what he used.
exactly, that's why no one can truly sound like dime. Not to many people know exactly what how he used his equipment, and i've been trying to get his tone right for years, and still haven't

+Kris Ross EQ pedal is a must in any guitarist board. So useful in any style of music. On my Boss EQ the 800 band does exactly as you mentioned.
+Kris Ross don't forget the proCo Rat distortion.
+Kris Ross Thanks for the info man really apreciate it you should check out keith merrow and wes hauch if you haven't already... they made a video for the dimebucker in which they in my opionion created one of the greatest lead sounds someone could imagine very dime-like if you will

Step one: no mids
Step two: no mids
Step 3: ALL THE GAIN
Step four: dive bombs
+Hayden Hayden now we're talking!
Step 5: two hand slides
Step 6: Get Dime's fingers
1. Sound like Chuck Schulinder of Death
2. Sound like Dave Mustaine of Megadeth
3. Sound like Kerry King of Slayer
4.Sound like Jeff Hanneman of Slayer
5. Sound like Jesper Strømblad of ex In Flames
S Guerilla
You need a BC rich loaded with emgs
A Marshall amp, they use the JCM800 with 10 band eq. And tube screamer pedal
You forgot by busting the bank.
I'm 7 years late lmao, but Chuck's rig wasnt expensive, quite the opposite, he used a Marshall Valvestate 8100, and i believe those are dirt cheap, i got mine used for like 100 bucks. And his signature Stealth that goes for like $1500 as of now.
Oh shit I got one of those blackstar heads, pretty decent for the price.
Roses are red violets are blue when listen to pantera my whole street does to.
Yes!!!!
Sound like Lamb of God!!
Jake Stephen fuck yes
Andertons should stock dean guitars
Jay Patel Yes they should. I have a Baby ML and it's amazing
Sound like Randy Rhoads
A Jackson Rhoads, a Marshall amp and his pedals(MXR Distortion, Echo, Flanger, Chorus and a Cry Baby)
He's a great guitarist but his tone is horrible
***** Agreed. Too much treble and is too weak
+FROSTIX everyones taste differs
YES!
No one can play "I'm Broken" correctly. Everyone just sounds like a bunch of notes.
But is it not already notes?
I’ve played it just fine.
And nobody can’t do the bend of the intro to Walk perfectly, only dime could
No one can play Smoke on the water correctly.Everyone just make it sound like 4 notes
Withought busting the bank? The shit that Dime actually used is cheaper. WTF?
To get the basic tone, not the exact rig is really simple. Seriously, you can get a Randall RG1503 and a Randall cab for about £550-600, a couple of Eq pedals (one for the front and one in the loop) for less than £150, and a decent guitar + dimebucker esque pickup (anything with a bit of bite will do) for around £500. Exactly. WTF are they trying to sell here?
+Serg Pidlisnyuk the logic only makes sense if you live and breathe the GUILDFORD MENTALITY.
Serg Pidlisnyuk his head was $4000 alonr
haha u right
"hi-gain solid-state amplifier" Well then we can be sure to be in for a fucking treat
Randall
Christ, even the Line 6 would have sounded better and been more affordable than this junk
HillMeister's HQ whats wrong with solid state amps?
Ullr the glorious one A lot of them sound bad. Dimebags tone is not my cuo of tea
HillMeister's HQ fair enought i prefer solid state to tube but there are a lot good sounding tube amps
sound like Gary Moore please ...80s shred era if thats cool ;3
everybodylovesgav absolutely agreed on Gary Moore's 80s era!
+everybodylovesgav Yes, this please :)
That would be awesome
Dimebag was a fucking god! bless his soul he's probably shredding his way to heven right know
I reckon he's been send on a mission by the Lord Jesus to fight demons in guitar battles
+Owen Carr i bet he works for the devil with his wicked skills
Daniel Stone fuck yea dude lol make that a game!
Jarne April he's actually on his way to hell, I mean he was a cowboy from hell
Sounds like Rabea!!
Jack Kingers They've done this. Look on Rob's channel.
You can really tell Rabea enjoyed this one. I sure as hell did. Great job, guys!
I think that while Dime had the signature humbucker he still preferred to use the Bill Lawrence L500XL pickups in the bridge of his guitars. Same bridge pickup Nuno Bettencourt favours if I remember correctly.
Sodacake You're correct. Nuno and dime used the same pickups Bill Lawrence L500 on the bridge and SD '59 on the neck
+Sodacake shoulda used a washburn n2 or n4 (budget allowing)
Bad Mouth Men well the whole point of this series of videos is to sound like X guitar player without busting the bank. i think an n2 or n4 would bust most peoples' bank.
n2 is under £300. it's doable
well, under 400, but still!
Definitely no the Synyster Gates model, but speaking of him.... DO AVENGED SEVENFOLD!!!!!!!!
Yes, avenged!
T Salty AVENGED AVENGED AVENGED ( ͡0 ͜ʖ ͡0)
T Salty DO IT
T Salty do it
T Salty It's not his signature color scheme but it does have his specs down to the last nut and screw. That series gave customers options on color besides the stripes. Chappers and The Captain did a review on them, check it out!
a new level at the beginning...try playing it in power chords like dime did
Bea WAS playing powerchords, get your shit right niqquh
Mikkel Scott - Guttural Slug/Septic Congestion if he was he's in drop d
Stellar effort guys, be a looked like he was havin a blast. (Release the inner metal) well done fellas, again
do sound Like Trivium :-)
Hell yes Trivium all the way
+Burning Back Darkness Twivium!!!
please make it !!!
I think that would be a bit difficult since they pretty much change their tone and sound after each album so they really don't have a "signature" sound.
yeah
I'm not a guitar player, but this is really enjoyable nonetheless. Keep them coming!
How to sound like dimebag: you can't. One simply can't imitate a god such as dimebag
Sound like Tony Iommi
+ AJ Coleman good idea
tha will be good
done it already
Drop C, Banjo strings, Bass Amplifier. true story
People can't sound like Dimebag, they really should stop trying. It's just impossible. Dude was a freak of nature.
Kenny g look him up he will amaze you
+Lengendary Hennings The flute fucker guy?
+Nick Miner no man kennygmusicpage
+Lengendary Hennings true! the dude's tone is on point!
The closest Ive come to achieving Dime's tone was with the Line 6 Firehawk 1500 amp, which allows you to download other user's settings. One guy uploaded a patch called "Dimebag's Rythm", and he nailed it.
Sound like Dimebag Darrel without busting the bank:
step 1: set mid to 0
step 2: set high to 10
step 3: turn gain up to 10
step 4: ...there is no "step 4", that's it
oh, you're so wrong...
Honestly, no one can truly sound like the man himself. It was more his style that made him stand out, and I don't believe anyone can do it EXACTLY like him, let alone really close.
Sound like Dimebag Darrell by busting the bank?
Dimebags style of playing was his signature. Only dime can sound like dime. Great video.
Rest in peace Abbott Brothers
You guys should do a sound like Jack White!
Sweet review. I was looking to buy the whammy. This helped my dicission
Sound like jason becker would be shredtastic!
This is the most important sounds like video ever and I can't believe I'm just now finding it.
Do a sounds like Dörje update :)
Yes! They're old video on that sounded awful to me and nothing like them.
You should do a Sound Like me. I have an awesome tone, it's basically the best tone ever, trust me. It sounds huuuuuuuuuuge. Genius stuff.
Skindred riff in "Sounds like Dimebag Darrell" hehehe
Have a Whammy DT. I highly recommend it if anyone is looking for a Whammy. It offers so much with the DT section, true bypass and is MIDI controlable. Great effect.
Sound like Korn?
Yes
I would give my right testicle for this
72726373 string guitar into high gain amplifer. Hahah. Just joking. It'd be a nice vid though.
You are a genius
+Am i Cool Yet? Drop A on a 7 string guitar, and any fat kind of distortion tone you can get :)
Say what you want about Dimes tone or scooped mids, but its so fun to get that ultra crunchy tone, turn the volume up and go nuts. You just feel super angry and powerful haha it's almost therapeutic in a way.
8:41 sounds like a screaming cat
Excellent video. I am an eternal student of Dimebag. Thanks for this vid fellas, from Southern Oregon, USA!
Do a Sound Like Johnny Marr.
Chikubi Basically a Jaguar and a Deluxe, but yeah, I'd love to see how close they could get to his sound.
+quasarpuffs Johnny Marr has done so much in his career to just put his entire sound down to a jaguar is a bit unfair
+Chikubi Find a very opinionated singer. And play clean with Ricky and just overdub a fuck ton
Bass part (Rex Brown)
-Rex used with Pantera many basses with humbuckers to get a perfect thick tone, they only had one guitar. Jackson JS3 W Kelly Bird is a good option
-Ampeg BA 112 V2. Some drive on
-Boss Bass Chorus fot some songs
-MXR bass Distorsion
Andertons need to stock some dimebag signature guitars!!!!!!
This was light years ahead of your Bust The Bank version.
Sound like Meshuggah?
The most complete guitar class I've ever seen in the internet, mates!
Sounds like Nirvanaa-Kurt Cobain
+Vinyl Collector Kurt always used single coils
+Vinyl Collector I take that back, upon further research I found that he did use both types, however whenever I try to replicate his sound I find that single coils do the most justice
+slorr55 Single coil strat, ds-1 or ds-1, small clone chorus and a marshal or if you have more money, a clean fender
I got a pretty close tone from a Fender KC Mustang, Babyboom Fuzz and a TBX30 Solid state amp
+slorr55 Sounds like piece of shit.
u guys nailed the tone too sounds great!
I'll suggest a sound like Billy Gibbons.
Please do a full video of just Rabea jamming out Pantera tunes. No talking. Thanks.
sound like Trivium!
Nice one!!!
Now the challenge: sound like Periphery ;)
how to sound like Megadeth!
Absolutely awesome.you guys rock.i picked up a dean dof and love it. Looking forward to matching some pedals to it.
You forgot the 'Without busting the bank' part when you bought a twelve hundred dollar guitar and a five hundred and ninety dollar head, the price of the amp wasn't even included
you guys did a great job so close to what dimebag sound like
Pls do avenged sevenfold
RatHead Master yes
Thanks guys !!
do a sound like Synyster Gates (Avenged Sevenfold)
Mr.Arska use a lot of distortion and fast pick any key.
Solid state amp, gain maxed, sc00p3d Midz. You r golden
Sounds like Matt Bellamy please!!
Cyernide ibanez rgkp6 and zvex fuzz factory would be a very affordable option
Yeah I was gonna ask that too.
Jeroen Verbeeck He hardly uses the pad, pretty unnecessary. Fun though. I'd love love love to see a video for MK Ultra tone.
I own the 15 watt version of the Blackstar Rabea is playing through. It's a brilliant amp. Really great if you want hard rock and Metal, and good for blues as well.
i actually really want to hear it cranked to the max, but I don't think my parents would be very happy lol.
THats not the new synyster gates guitar
A7X ANIMALS It's got Syn Gates' specs written all over it, no matter how you look at it. It's really close to the same specs but it's pretty obvious with the headstock, synyster said himself he hated the original avenger headstock
There's not as much hate on this as I thought there would be. People get really precious over Dime
Sorry but that sounds nothing like Dime's sound.
I completely agree
Yeah. It sounds like they just raped a boss metal zone.
The Spoonman it makes me think of a slightly heavier Audioslave
(How odd considering your name😂)
I knew it wasn't going to sound like it when he said scooped...
Great video! How did you set up Blackstar? I think that set up of gear (amp, guitar tunning, pedals etc.) is very important in that kind of videos, please add it to next one :)
Sound like Nickleback for under a tenner
plug your guitar in to a garbarge can
plug your guitar in to a garbarge can
Reuben Elstub and then count your cash,
No nickle back please!
Daryl Lewis 'Amazingly we spent nothing'
Love the faces rabea makes when shredding.
Sound like Matt Bellamy! :D
7:27 , not gonna lie, that made me head bang!
Gotta do a "Sounds Like Eddie Van Halen".
Sounds like Gojira!!
Yes!
Yes!
Yes!
Listening to Bea always makes me want to pick up my guitar. That's possibly the biggest complement I can give. He's a great player.
seems strange seeing thicc rabea now. he should be proud.
OMG THE RIFF FROM A NEW LEVEL IN THE BEGINNING SOUNDED SO MEAN AND FILTHY AND SLUDGY ITS GOODDDDDD
SOUND LIKE KEVIN SHIELDS
Curtis YES
***** kevin is my guitar hero literally.
It's been 11 years to the day....
R.I.P
can you guys make a sound like Rammstein video?
Great job you guys are great first video I saw you guys do and you guys are great.
its cool you used a schecter..I love their guitars
Sounds like:
John Petrucci - Dream Theater (nice seven string opportunity)
Steph Carpenter - Deftones(same as above )
Jesse Lacey/Vinnie Accardi - Brand New (they have some really unique setups, would be a challenge)
Adam Jones - Tool (Good range of sounds)
Sound like dimebag with busting the bank
This series of videos is a good idea for you! Nice one.
Although you need a Furman for dimebag. Dimebag was a wizard and without the right pieces of gear you don't get the set bonus.
Sound like SRV!
I was in a Pantera Tribute band for 5 years. All of the times we practiced never sounded great until we turned up REALLY loud. Dime ever played with that much gain though, it was more of a SUPER aggressive crunch.
Should have used a Washburn! He had a signature series by them before he made the mistake of switching to Dean!
Why was it a mistake?
Someguy528 it is a better guitar and one dimebag actually used. Not saying the guitar he used waxsn't nice just pointing out that a Washburn would have been the best choice.
+James Mitchell Maybe but he says at 4:40 that they didn't have neither a Dean or a Washburn in stock.
Someguy528 i heard that after I commented =) Not sure if you noticed my Washburn N4 but I am very picky about guitars and Washburn is the best!
Incorrect; He played with Dean since he was a kid. But yeah, if they would've had Washburn in stock it would've been pretty kool.
Awesome job guys!
sound like avenged sevenfold please :)
dime didn't do drop D but other than that NAILED IT thanks guys
Sound like Infant Annihilator?
YEEESSS
Dick Baguette I like how you did the?
Sound like Burzum
8:10 sounds like a Skindred tune.
ProSinMusic PR-PR-PR-PRESSURE!
As much as Dime put the Whammy pedal to good use, I think MikeyDemus is my favourite whammy user :)
He's definitely up there for me
Has to be the best Budget video imo. I'd quite like to hear a By Busting The Bank video
Actual deans are cheap enough to have fit in this video. Wonder why dont u stock em.
Plus Randall amps are also not expensive, so you can get crybaby from hell and Zakk Wylde overdrive and finally nail the exact tone
IF you pay that less as you did for a guitar, ofcourse it will be shitty !
i may have got a bad one to be fair, but even cheapest epiphones have better quality control and build quality
To be fair, If that was the case with dean they woudnt be relevant today in the affordable guitar category which they are. Comparing two companies is just not smart as you will always have better things to say about one you paid more for or got a better deal at or if you have a bad experience with either . so.
Rabea is awesome!
