Winter is here early this year. We had some snow at the beginning of the week! Given this type of weather we can cut down on the number of tablets we do to either 0 or maybe 1 every 3 to 4 weeks.
Given the cold weather we've been having algae and bacteria growth are crippled. Neither can properly reproduce and grow given our water temperature, so very little chlorine is needed, especially since we are using Borates and Minerals.
I checked up on the chemicals;
Free Chlorine - .2 PPM
Total Chlorine - .2 PPM
PH - 7.6
Perfect. I also checked on the chlorine feeder and the tablet has finally dissolved after 3 weeks. One tablet lasted a 3 week period and provided .5 to 1.0 PPM chlorine to the pool the entire time.
I added one tablet as well as the regular weekly dose of CV-700. See you guys next week!
