Hello my friend, if u r interested in roots blower machine, we can provide roots blower and roots vacuum pump, plz contact Whatsapp number:+86 156 3451 3646 or email: bellalu@aliyun.com
I have been watching his videos for a long time now. His videos helped me a lot to understand engineering concepts than any book I have read so far. Animations are beyond amazing!!
Outstanding video. Interesting topic? Check. Well animated? Check. Cool camera work? Good background music? Well narrated? Check, check, and check. Good one, Thomas!
I was today years old when I learned that the air goes around the outside of the supercharger. I always thought it got squeezed between the blades and I was very confused how that setup is supposed to move any amount of air. But now it makes way more sense.
there's a lazy af teacher at Universal Technical Institute using this video to teach his classroom. thanks for nothing UTI, I spent 20k to watch TH-cam videos in a classroom
Does a roots supercharger become the single source of air flow by eliminating a regular air intake? or is the supercharger and addition to the regular air intake?
What animation, 3d modeling program do you use? I'm graduating college and loving the 3DS max aspect of modeling, mental ray or vray, with key shot renderings. Whats a typical salary for doing stuff you do if i may ask? Also, great tutorial, instructional vids, helps me when i open up my supercharger to change out the isolator and re-lube the seals where the 2 rotors are attached too.
Can you reduce the frequency of "Support this channel" pop up to only three times in a video. It's kinda distracting. At start, middle and end of video. Love your videos!
Frederik Vestergaard there is no space for the air to occupy on the inside. On the outside the rotors move the air to the outlet and the "collapsing" of space force the air out of the housing
this is some really high quality animation
Yep -- it's darned difficult to imagine how it could be ANY better!
@@rickstadel5285 agreed
@@rickstadel5285 for real, i cant even make a 3d donut
Excellent. This is the most accurate visual representation that I’ve found to help explain positive displacement superchargers.
I subbed a long time ago because your explanations and animations are spot-on. Probably the easiest videos to learn how things work.
Excellent video, animation & explanation.
Special respect to the engineers who invented the "Blower" over a century ago!
Flawless mechanical animation.
i have alot of those found on broken thunderbolt
iv watched a lot of cgi/cad videos on youtube. this might be the best production iv seen. thank you.
The Roots brothers brought me here. This is a superb animation. Thank you
This was exactly the introduction I needed to learn how/why superchargers work! Now I want one on my Tacoma.

Thomas, es usted un experto en la materia!
I have been watching his videos for a long time now.
His videos helped me a lot to understand engineering concepts than any book I have read so far.
Animations are beyond amazing!!
im here after 5 years :)
I work at Roots building these and this is a good video explaining how they work.
Really needed it, Thanks 🙋♂️
These were used on the Thunderbolt Civil Defense sirens to make them louder.
mhm, sutorbilt 4,5, and 6 M blowers
Same as the ACA Hurricane
I always like ur explaining and ur vids. Bless u, sir.

Great video mate.
Thanks!
Superb animation.
That was a great explanation and presentation. Cheers.
Hope you will keep doing your amazing work . Bring knowledge to the world :)
amazing video, this video is really helpful for amateurs
Amazing animations.

Beautiful! Thank you!
Excellent!
Need a twin-screw supercharger animation next!
This is the true oddly satisfying vid
who came up this roots pump design? It's so amazing!!!!!!
Thanks for share 👍🏼
Thank you. Please share with friends and colleagues!
Where can I get one of these fidget spinners?
Hoppit lol
My blower is not a fidget spinner
Nice keep it up 😉😉
Where'd the sexy accent go?
I don't get it. Budack/atkinson engine tries to lower the air intake then this one tries to pump more air. What effect does it do?
Thanks sir for another video
Wow, Bugatti is such an innovative company
They didn't actually come up with the roots style blower. It was used on 2 stroke diesel engines long before it was used on a gasoline engine
Sam C Thanks
Great, just woooooooooowww!🔥🔥🔥
What's the diff between this and twin screw?
Thanks for the information

Does a roots supercharger become the single source of air flow by eliminating a regular air intake? or is the supercharger and addition to the regular air intake?
Fernando Arzate a roots type will entirely replace the normal intake manifold to make room for the intercooler.
Well explained
Cool Video
1:11 “quiet operation”
Dodge demon: WUEEEEEEEE,WUEEEEEEEE
dont make us vomit please. no amerimutt car are talked between high-iq individuals.
Can anything be done to the blower to increase the amount of air it pushes
such a great video. please make a blower exp
amazing
This is how fidget spinners are born😂👌...at 0:53
You forget that twisted lobes are used because they provide consistent air flow
Are Supercharger motors gas-killers and do they much cost to build in a car? Aswell its a awesome video!
Now you can enter to be a editor in Disney

Hi, I use Carrara 8 Pro.
Thomas Schwenke thanks, like the animations and simple models.
Goooooooooooood! Go on to explain!
Hi, what is the name of the music used?
I can make a thunderbolt siren from a car root blower, WHAAATT!! I did not know that!!
They are basically the same parts
Oh, thank goodness I finally found another siren enthusiast here.
Awesome
What's the name of the background music in this video?
can we know what programme are u using ? :)
Carrara 8 Pro :)
That’s crazy that these have been around for over 100 years and we’re just barely embracing forced induction.
Can you reduce the frequency of "Support this channel" pop up to only three times in a video. It's kinda distracting. At start, middle and end of video.
Love your videos!
Hi, no, I want to make sure that it's not easy to copy content from the animation.
Why does the air go around, and not on the inside of the rotors?
Frederik Vestergaard there is no space for the air to occupy on the inside. On the outside the rotors move the air to the outlet and the "collapsing" of space force the air out of the housing
krismoe31 thanks dude. Just What i needed to hear! ^_^
Have one on my newer Corvette. Heat is an issue for sure.
When you sent the liquid through the supercharger the angle made the rotors look like figit spinner's
so its like a rotary then
"strong"
Rooted-type supercharger
bom vídeo
nice fidget spinners
@engineeringexplained Watch and learn how to make videos.
nice try,
+0:59 why the heck does it look like a fidget spinner?
Fidget spinner at 0:57
theres fidget spinners
MrVenom get out
iMajestix DAMN RIGHT
That makes the air more cancerous, leading to higher power outputs. That’s some advanced engineering.
MrVenom Little shit, they're not. They're lobes.
Lol
cool fidget spinner.
sadhu somalaksana its not a fidget spinner
Fidget spinner
Looks like a fidget spinner
Rian Desantores XD
look like a spinner
Fffffff.....idget spinner?
Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
very cool
