Really love it that you can tame the babies. Especially Compys that needs frickin Prime Meat for taming and I think it will make taming some Dinos easier in a early stage of game. I asking myself if we will still find eggs and if these are hatchable.

The taming mechanics are actually pretty cool honestly, thought killing the parent the taking the child is kind of weird lmfao.
Hey Syntac, since you're at the East side, a little North of your base is the swamp area, you get wood from Magroove trees. Also, a bit dangerous but you can hunt Titan Boa there, see if they drop Metal pick and axe. Exciting place to ponder..Also has river rocks.😅
I think it's fair and it provides a different way to tame a dinosaur. It may even become more effective or faster in the future. You never know!
Cannot WAIT for this game to optimize more, it seriously has so much potential and you and your friends playing it are so entertaining to wait

Patch will be tonight, as mentioned from latest post. "Working from anecdotal feedback and hard data provided by players, we deployed a new client-side update released tonight that will improve your game's framerate. The update adds a number of optimizations and better settings assignments for each Graphics Quality mode, and you'll get an immediate gain upon trying out the new build"

Another cool tip for anyone who didn't know, the purple and blue coral near the shores give stone and oil, so it's a good source of early game oil harvest

Compys behave really funny and a bit creepy.
When I first spawned I had 3 of them around me, just standig there...staring. Whenever I picked up a stone they all bit me once and ran away, then came back to just keep staring.
So, they're the jurassic chickens. 😂 This is literally what my chooks do when I'm in their run lol
Compys were believed to have venomous bites. So your experience makes that all the more creepy.

Hey Syntac! Did you know that the water irrigation system is easier now, all you have to do is place a intake down, which with make a large circle, in that radius you can place taps on the floor, wall etc and they will pour water! You no longer need to collect pipes!
Are there any repeaters for the wifi? The range for the intake is a bit limited.

Leaving more then the majority who adore playing this game peacefully with their friends, with no options other then to pay RIDICULOUS prices .

Your excitement is just so pure and authentic, that it is impossible not to want to play this game after watching your videos.
I can't believe how beautiful the tek cave looks inside. The light from the lava and crystals is insane looking.
You can craft stackables on your hotbar by hitting the keystroke you use to repair items on your hotbar (ctrl or alt + #, I can't remember which)
Anyone else notice that when Syntac ate in first person after the piranha bit him that his hands stayed stationary holding the spear but his shadow on the water moved and did the eating animation 😂
Go to herbivore Island, there was always a lot of metal there and you can tame Anky same time. Who knows, maybe you can now use an Anky to harvest without a saddle now.
You've always been able to. Its how Karkinos, and Quetzal farming for solos worked
To make it a little more convenient, if you have a space on your hot bar. At the same time you track the blueprint, also drag it to your hot bar. You’re going to have to go back to your inventory to delete the tracker anyway, so you would just remove blueprint from hot bar at the same time.
When you had the map open and said “it kinda become opaque” I was SCREAMING in my mind “TRANSPARENTTT” 😭😂 lmao I loved this video and I’m sooooo excited to see ASA evolve into what ASE was supposed to become, keep up the amazing work

Opaque means partially transparent while transparent means see through like a window.

You're right in the sense that opacity can have a spectrum, just as transparency can. Such as windows in video games or subtitle backgrounds. Technically, though, to be "opaque" is the opposite of "transparent," in that it's where you can't see through.
5:05 If you go into the interfaces (Inventory, tracking, ect) there is a new map tab, that allows you to add POIs.
(well at least I think, was watching another video and the guy did it but he was doing things very fast and I was only half paying attention)
11:16 The babies follow their parents so the baby was near where you killed the parent, and yes passive dinos do become aggressive if you hurt the baby.
You can also double tap M to get to that tab quick

Loving these videos so far. Dont have a good pc at all, can barely run ASE, so the long form gameplay without cuts is really helping me enjoy the game despite not being able to play it myself.
I know this is old, and I waited for a sale to get ASA, but it's my RAM that's been holding me back with newer games. I have to have the settings on medium for my i7-9850H, RTX 2060, 16RAM computer. It's been having some issues with newer games, but it's more than four years old, so it's expected.
I can't imagine the insane specs you'd need to run this game with all epic stats and super smoothly. 😂

Hey Syntac, any thoughts on the news regarding Nitrado and players being unable to run their own servers? Will you be addressing this at any point?
Players can run their own server but only one per account it’s also been well known for 6+ months now. Yeah it sucks but wildcard needed money and a 7 year deal with nitrado was the only way to get the funding they needed to not go bankrupt it sucks but it is what it is.
Love these new videos with the new game, and my personal favourite thing with this game, is the raptors slight reworks, gives off Jurassic park vibes!

You can put the engrams for craftables on the hotbar, so you can track the ingredients with track, then mash the hotbar key to craft them
If you want to stop Nitrados scummy tactics you need to stop watching people who are sponsored by them! Syntac, as are many other creators are being paid by Nitrado. The only way to stop them is stop supporting them

Honestly, I like the longer episodes. I do not know how much the algorithm likes them, but I am sure the other people watching them like them as well.
About the levels you need to remember you are in the island and levels there are usually low, so you might need to change the settings and use caves to see if the levels are right

The alignment is insane I just build a raft and the foundations auto aligned to the raft no pillars needed for lowering or anything building feels so good I can’t wait to do something crazy. Edit just had a thought I wonder if platform saddles are the same that was always frustrating with the Dino movement

I think I saw on someone else's video (I believe it was Evo) that you can turn on movement speed leveling for both you and your tames in the menu somewhere.

@8:50 for the small dino and bug bodies that get hidden by the terrain graphics i keep turning up and down the foliage quality which gets rid of alot of the ground clutter .. but then i turn it back up because it just looks better.
im glad you are in that area...I want to spawn in that area when I start playing....I expect to get the game within the week...the problem with retired fixed income...but I really enjoy watching your videos and learning more about the game...

Syntac I don't think that crossbow is small, I think you made your character huge 🤣 I love that engram tracking feature, can already see modders building on it and adding numbers from nearby storage, resource pulling and a crafting shortcut 🤔 Can't wait to play this when I get a new PC!
