I can't believe how long I played this game without knowing about Lucky, I basically always pump lockpicking early now and use it until I get a Sequoia. It's an absolute underrated beast of a gun.
@sgt.miningdrill2680 i was only joking. I'm playing through fo3 again right now, I play nv way more. Mostly bc there's more gun options and the Ammo varieties is the main reason why I prefer nv. I like the gritty tone of fo3 more but that's about it for what I prefer. Maybe a few animations

My favorite pistol is probably Maria because for me it fills the sidearm role best. There are actually very few high-level areas in the game, and most of the time you're just taking out chem addicts or geckos. In this role, Maria provides an excellent combination of high dps, especially with grunt, crit build and hollow points, and other concerns like cost, durability and weight. The gun weighs little, will fire forever, and you can carry a few hundred 9mm without noticing it.
A really weird glitch with the mysterious magnum is if you use it with quick draw(likely because you’re a cowboy) the mysterious theme overlaps on itself
For some strange reason whenever I play fallout New Vegas I always create a character that can use both laser and traditional guns and usually set them both to at least 80 if I don't max them out mainly because although I like using laser rifles or laser RCWa devistating weapon can be the 5.00mm assault rifle if you use armour pericing ammo that costs around 3 caps per round if you have a battery skill of 75 and cut ignore 25 armour
the best for me are two : lucky and that gun ; the first is incredibly good with a cowboy crit build , and even the second , but it's more useful , in a special way againist enemies like geckos .. i've made bootjack cavern at level 10 , because the fire rate is very high and the 5.56 ammo are available in an incredibly variety of types , hollow point = no armor , armor piercing and others
You can try putting Steam into offline mode (Click on the Steam menu in the upper left and choose "Go Offline") as a workaround. Steam itself will then give you a -106 error on the store tab (since it can't contact the store in offline mode), but you can ignore that and still play the game. Your local Steam client will still record achievements but they won't show on your public profile until you put the client back into online mode and let it sync with Steam's servers.
i may be alone in this but the fnv .44 is probably the worst pistol. i have used every single pistol and i had a blast with all (including the mysterious magnum) but i simply hated using the .44 in a recent playthrough, and my build was specialised around the .44 revolver

Yeah it is great I love taking it to OWB because of all the .357 that you find laying around.

The .45 with silencer is my personal favorite. Professional grunt hand-loader speaking.

On a crit build with the Grunt Perk, Maria is straight up OP. You can clap deathclaws with one mag.

Li'l Devil, and A Light Shining In Darkness are my favorite handguns in this game.
They are both really great weapons.
I like fan mods that add DLC weapons to the game. As such, the police pistol in the Mojave works really well, especially for low to mid game enemies.
Yeah I imagine that would be useful at that time. I like the mods that add the DLC weapons to the normal enemies makes for more options.
Maria also counts as a holy weapon. I'm pretty sure the only gun that does so.

It's in the testing site where you have to move the ghouls out. It's in a locked room in the middle next to a skeleton and a safe.

I have an issue trying to play NV on pc. I have steam and it won’t start up it says there is a sync cloud error. You know the cause?

Could be a number of things, both 3 and NV. Unofficial patches can sometimes work the best. I had to have 2 installed just to get fallout 3 working.

Unfortunately lucky has a VATS glitch that will almost certainly kill you
That is a problem, not as bad as the railway rifle glitch in fallout 3 that could just crash the game.
