@@illavorista agreed... and I like how you get right to the point...no long BS intros that take for every. You get directly to the point. Very clear, very simple.
seriously, that was one of the best imovie tutorials ever... i have been SOOOOOO frustrated with the Standard lower third's lack of flexibility! THANK YOU a million times
Thank you, you’re the best. I use iMovie as a hobby, mostly doing family videos. I’ve compiled a list of “Saved” TH-cam iMovie Tutorials to help with creativity, yours make up the majority.
This was exactly what I was looking for. I'm making cooking videos for people following a whole food plant based diet and this worked perfectly. It worked with the blue underwater background that you used and the gradient backgrounds but I couldn't figure out why I couldn't use a solid color background to sit behind the text. But it still accomplished what I was after. THANK YOU!
Freaking amazing! You’re pretty much the only reason I haven’t switched to Final Cut Pro yet. With your help, iMovie pretty much does everything I need at this point. Thanks once again.
If it's working for you, why switch? You can squeeze a lot of production value out of iMovie. Trust me, I started editing on tape... with a razor blade.
Lol…tape and a razor blade. iMovie is a dream compared to that. And yes, it’s working so I’m not switching, but even you have to admit there are some annoying features to iMovie. For one the play back on the iPad is terrible.
Thank you for this really useful tutorial, your delivery style is perfect ,slow enough speaking that we can follow and not speeding everywhere with the cursor so fast we cannot follow it, and your I Movie skills are amazing again a big thankyou
sir, inspite of individual video view count increase my channel analytics view count is not getting updated. what can be possible reason? did I do anything wrong?
Great one, Michael. I’ve been using your low thirds using Keynote for some time. I’ll try this new way you suggest. Love this underwater background and all its possibilities. Thanks
Aw, this is so good! Great timing for me. I've just discovered you a couple of days ago, and am thrilled I have found you. I stepped away from making YT vids but I'm coming back; I thought I just needed a refresher, but these tips and tricks open up my whole world, haha. Thank you so much! (Hi from Canada!) (of course I subscribed)
So great, as always. I keep thinking I should use FCP, but then I realize I can do 95% of what I want in iMovie. And it's easier. But your last point puzzles me. How do I add my own custom backgrounds to use in lower thirds?
Michael you really make my mind explode with such information, regards from Venezuela my friend, happy I am part of your followers I have learned a lot with your content.
Michael, you are excellent. Please do a video on how to place a block of color ONLY behind the title, just like you do. Not a banner, but a block of color to make the title pop.I called imovie and they said not possible unless you do a picture in a picture which seems complicated. Thanks much,
Superb, very grateful for this. Something I don't understand, Picture in Picture only seems to work with some of the backgrounds in iMovie and not work with the solid colours, ie black, white, red, green, blue etc?
Your ability to extract feature after feature out of iMovie is nothing short of amazing.
I was thinking the same
@@illavorista agreed... and I like how you get right to the point...no long BS intros that take for every. You get directly to the point. Very clear, very simple.
Totally true, I completely spot an iMovie with the titles!!!
Your tip just opened a plethora of new possibilities: thank you!!!
That cut and paste tip alone is worth the 12 minutes it takes to watch this video. Thanks, Michael: fan and new subscriber!
The best channel to learn more bout imovie!
I use upper thirds mostly because the lower thirds often gets covered by subtitles and the player controls.
Your calm voice makes it easy to absorb and apply your tutorial. Thank you.
Your level of ingenuity is out of this planet 👌🏼Thank you
Emphasis on free. It's overwhelming that everything requires a recurring subscription fee now. Thanks for another pro tutorial.
