I spent 15 minutes trying to figure out how to edit a movie by myself and never really got to do what I wanted to do. In the less than 5 minutes it took to watch this video, I learned everything I wanted plus much more!
I have been trying for hours to learn iMovie. I just watched perhaps the best tutorial out here! Thanks. I now can edit over 10 hours of motorcycle rides!!! My friends and family are in for a treat! Adding music, cutting out boring things and creating openings are going to take me to the next level! Thank you so much!!

As a rule of thumb, be sure to leave text up long enough to read the text with a normal cadence in its entirety at least twice. Also, consider the beat and rhythm of the video and any music you might be using.
I began watching some tutorial that was 20 mins long. Then I thought "it can't be that long, should be easier". Then I saw yours and it's just what I needed.
As a result of the tutorial of yours, I was able to complete and upload a travel video and a vast amount of work on another, much longer, travel video. Thank you for explaining it for me!

You mention the audio aspect, but will I be able to shoot video segments with audio to put together or is audio on a completely separate track? I can see where it could be advanced to edit audio within segments especially scenes or transitions…I’m thinking very short movie for instance. Thanks for your work!!!

Audio is part of the video, though you can separate them. Try it and see.
