    The best iMovie tuition videos on TH-cam. Clear explanations, no gobbledygook, easy to follow and organise. They really help the complete novice. Thanks so much for taking the time to produce these Colourful and Instructional vidoes. So much to learn and Mac Video Magic is my Go To for this.

    I just discovered and subscribed to your channel having never used iMovie before and after being asked to film and edit a wedding video. I never realised how powerful iMovie is and tended in the past to use other movie editors which can be complicated and difficult to get used to, with quite disappointing results. After watching a few of your videos and following your very good instructions I produced a video which was spot on for what the person getting married was wanting. Thanks for your help.

    • @TheDustyDutchman
      @TheDustyDutchman ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MacVideoMagic Absolutely. I think Final Cut is the next natural step for most Mac users who want to take their editing to the next level. However it can be a daunting step for many people even though there are many similarities to iMovie. BUT I truly believe with YOUR help more people could and would be more likely to make the migration over to Final Cut. Considering the name of your channel you technically wouldn't necessarily even need to start a second channel to upload Final Cut videos.

    Michael - might I recommend a poll to see if your subscribers would like to see similar content for FCP?
    This was a great video but I’m sure a topic (key frames) you’ve covered at least once before. FCP videos might even renew your vigor for making and posting videos.

    On my iPhone I press on a person to cut them out then add that person using pip in iMovie however what I would like to do is make it 3D kind of in a parallax way. Is there any way to create something like this in iMovie.

    Thank you so much for your videos ❤ I'm wondering if you can help me with something? I removed "white noise" from my video with reduce background noise. This worked great, but I still have that white noise in my transitions between clips. Is there a way to remove noise between transitions? Any guidance would be appreciated..thank you!

    • @MacVideoMagic
      @MacVideoMagic  ปีที่แล้ว

      Select a "white noise" clip in the Media Browser and apply the Reduce Background Noise effect to it (filters affect clips in the Media Browser, too, not just the timeline). Then export that clip (Share - Export File - Quality: High - Compress: Best Quality). This will "bake" Reduce Background Noise into the clip. Re-import the clip into your project. Do that for the rest of the clips, and try applying your transitions. Let me know if that works.

    • @pujagoel5206
      @pujagoel5206 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for your help Michael! I did try what you recommended, the noise went away on the transition clips. I still had a problem anywhere there was a jump cut or split clips. The 'hiss' sound was still there. I tried a roundabout way. I needed to merge the clips somehow for the white noise to go away. I left the noise in, saved my file as an mp4 on my desktop. I created a new movie with that mp4. It was now one clip with an even noise. I reduced the background noise on that clip and the sound is now clear in the entire movie! I have no idea if that was the right approach, but it seemed to work. I'm sure there is a simpler way to remove noise from the jump cuts.
      I appreciate your time and expertise. Again, thank you so much for creating your videos ❤️
