I dont think we are first world already, but we are going up. Brazil has many resources: lots of land proper for agriculture and cattle, water, renew energy sources, oil, iron, internal market, democratic alternating governments... yes, I think we are doing good! By the way, São Paulo is not the only one in that position and quality of life is not in the big cities.
I love São Paulo. It is very diverse, dynamic, and diverse. With that said, inequality is appalling, and there is a significant portion of the population living in slums. Crime is also an important problem. So, I don't think São Paulo is akin to a developed country, but certainly an affluent, cosmopolitan area of the world.
Thanks for your comment. We agree on that. The slum-like houses in the capital are a big problem but in 20 years with government plans like "Minha Casa Minha Vida" it has improved a lot. 9% of the total population of 44million still live in slum-like houses, that is very sad but if you search countryside cities like Bauru, Ribeirao Preto you will see that houses are just as good as any other place and have a very nice "portuguese style" architecture. In Brazil today they are delivering an average number of 10k Houses on the "minha casa minha vida" program. Maybe we should do a video with that theme about council houses all over the world. Thank you.
Saw this video i'm from São Paulo and Thats a very good point u mentioned on your coment! there are many Organizations in SP to help stray dogs but unfortunetly we are bit far from reaching EU/US standards. Hope we can keep improving on that to keep the animals safe! But when i think of 10 years ago we improved a lot on that i used to see do many stray dogs
I visited São Paulo earlier this year and loved it! One of my favourite cities i have been to

Hey, I’m brazilian! Loved your channel! Please don’t give up!
São Paulo is very impressive! Very objective video!
All the Brazilians I know do not consider Sao Paolo a first world country by a long shot!
.....they have no clue, what first world is!!!!!!!
The economy is developed indeed, yet São Paulo struggles in social issues: violence, drugs, homelessness, corruption etc.
Eu amoo São Paulo!!
"South Paulo" broke me just like "Mia-me" (Miami) xD
And don't forget that São Paulo is not a cheap living cost city. It's one of Brazil's most expensive ones!
If they have stray dogs then no
