    Wow, all the trees aregone onthe island now, and what is left seems dead. Nature will replenish itself, but it looks dramatically different from a year ago after the floods. Awesome video, great quality 👌

    Quiver and dead man walking are two different trees. The dead man walking is tall and thin and looks north. You see a lot in the Rigtersveld

    Awesome footage Matt. I wonder if I would be able to do this trip in my RAV4. You are so lucky to have a normal great wife as partner. My wife is bipolar crazy, mentally disordered. So unfortunately, I dare not consider her on an adventure like this.

    Great video as always, really looking forward to the rest of the series!
    A question if I may: When you are driving on the long stretch gravel sections, do you travel in 2H or 4H?
    In my humble opinion it is in these driving conditions that the Mitsubishi Super Select II system really shines & out performs the Toyota, as the MItsubishi can be driven in full-time 4x4 (which is obviously far safer).
    What are your thoughts on this?
    Cheers Boet.

    • @mattdubber
      @mattdubber  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I switch to 4x4 as soon as I hit the gravel, much more control. It takes a second to switch so I don’t see any disadvantage to the Mitshubishis but I agree the super select is great. My dad has a Pajero and has gone everywhere in it.

      @@mattdubber thanks Matt, appreciate the feedback.
      I suppose Mitsubishi's advantage is that it can be used on sealed surfaces in 4WD where the Toyota can't.
      cheers
