IDK, soccer mom has been faster than that before so I don't think it was a moon tune to be honest. But it's been to several events already this year so it was probably due for some maintenance.

@@TheFlooringInspector82 He’s been faster, but that’s when he can 60’ really hard. With the track conditions he might have had it on kill at the big end. Would have to compare MPH.
I worked on a tune/boost curve on our way to the event, it ran a 7.45 @ 193 off the trailer so I left that tuneup in it all day. The only tuning that I did from there was some minor fuel tweaking to clean up the fueling a little bit.

The excitement George has is just the top. It's a genuine happiness. That whole team is just a bunch of guys doing what they love and boy does it show.
I like how Cleeter keeps fixing the Blazer. Allows George to grow into the car and makes great content. Just painful on Cleet's wallet I am sure.

Really impressed that the Godzilla runs that hard with so little racing r&d put into them. Basically just slapped some parts on it, ran the hell out of it, blew it up, rebuilt it in the shop and running some truly impressive times for any engine of any pedigree.

It’s also got a transmission that is responsible for a huge part of it, as much money into that transmission as the rest of the car
@@jaydunbar7538 well they put a ton of money and experience into the car building it. it has some of the best suspension, rear end, and axles that can be bought. we wanted the build progress to be a slow build on the motor.

Video idea: pair all the guys up, set a budget ($10-20k) per team, buy and build a race week car, compete, and see how it goes. I think it would be a ton of fun to watch…

Redemption for George! Glad to see him all pumped up. Seeing a lot of bounce and travel on the Blazer's ass end. McFlurry and Mullet's rear ends are planted but the Blazer seems to pogo around a lot. Maybe a little KSR suspension tweakin' is in order.
Mcflurry is so solid. Hooks so consistently, doesn't need constant tuning. Such a good build.

They just are supernatural when it comes to drag racing, always have been. I’m a Toyota guy from way back but I still remember when a stock 5.0 was my goal to beat. McFlurry is my current favorite car in the fleet.

Love seeing McFlurry being run through its paces. That 7.3G is really proving itself right now. I know he didn't get the win, but like James said, still in one piece and running fine. Can't wait to see what can be done with those motors. Gonna be a lot of swap cars coming out now that people are seeing this. Hopefully cores start showing up cheap in a few years.
Unfortunately cheap and Ford don't really go together. Think the only Godzilla I will be racing is vicariously through the Cleeter crew lol.
@@saganworshipper6062 lol, I hear that. I remember people telling me that same thing when I did my small block build, but it didn't end up being that much more expensive honestly, if at all. I think the Coyotes and these are different though because they come in so few of Ford's fleet. Coyote is only in Mustang and F150 and Godzilla only in the 3/4 ton and up trucks. We'll see. The 460 is pretty cheap to come by and it was basically used in the same applications as the 7.3, so I can hope. 😁
@@saganworshipper6062 Barra. Easy 10's for 10k. All the Barras at sick week finished no problem. Easier to get power out of than an ls as well.

@@CL-ty6wp It's head gaskets, it'll be fixed and back running with not a whole lot of effort. It's not an ego thing either, nobody goes into a race to lose, if the motor lets go it lets go. Soccer mom has been faster than a 7.51 so there was no ego tune there.
