- My neighbor found out today that bears are quite capable of opening car doors, whether locked or unlocked. @ 8:05, Simone and the gang went after some candy bar wrappers that had been left behind. No damage, just a couple of paw prints. Unrelated, one of the cubs seems to really want to take that armchair back home.

Simone looks as beautiful as ever and her babies really got big. They are all so beautiful. I can’t believe they opened that car door. Hope they didn’t do any damage. Loved the birds singing too. Thanks for the video Mr. Conley. Always look forward to them.
I can't believe someone in bear country left a car door unlocked.
They were fine with the cubs on the cars until Simone showed up and wanted to get on🤣🤣🤣🤣 Guess mom was too big for them. 🤣 Lol.
The bird was griping because the bears stole all its food!
Simone is such a special soul it’s truly unique to watch her she is so mild mannered and never seems to cross your boundaries.

lol. I was so engaged with the bears, railing, birdseed and chair that I totally forgot about the "light B&E". When the door opened I could've sworn I saw the bear look up towards Patrick,

I love Simone's dangling leg while she's sitting on the porch railing! And do people not lock their car doors? There are sneaky bears in the neighborhood!!

What a treat to watch. I keep expecting Simone and her cubs to sit in the chairs, waiting for tea and honey to be served. Bears are so clever. B&E! Next they'll be seen driving through the nearest takeaway for ice cream. 🐻🍦

They're called tags and the use is for identification. This helps in recording numbers as well as know what bear is who.

She's obviously done that before. She opened the door very quickly and knew to push it open all the way to get inside. So witty and delicate leaving no damage. Absolutely love it!

I was surprised to see Simone's cubs still with their mama this spring, since they're nearly full grown. When do cubs normally separate from their mother and go off on their own? They are beautiful. I love the way they walk pigeon-toed, LOL.
They stay with mom around 17 months.
@@LizWroten Thank you. I guess this is the last year we'll see the entire family together. Maybe there will be new cubs next year.
They should leave Simone in around 1-2 month. As soon as Simone wants to mate again and attracts males, she will chase Milo and Luca away. They will not like it, but its for their own safety as other males will attack them. Then they will claim their own territory out there.
Around July or August, Simone will go into estrus and prepare to find a mate for her next round of cubs. At that point, Milo and Luca will be emancipated. Simone will cede small portions of her territory to them so they have a place of their own.

I am always amazed at a bear's sense of smell. Wherever there is something edible, they seem to find it. Even candy bar wrappers in a closed car. Of course by now they have learned to check the feeder, but it is impressive that at one time they had to sense that something delicious was up there.
WOW! You sir have to be the most bravest person ever. I could never do what you’re doing. Having those bears that close is too close for comfort.

On our RING camera, it picked up my neighbors driveway, the mama bear opened the door on a van. She knew how to slide it open. The three cubs went through it, eating what they found. They all exited the van……and mama closed the door. They’re smart.
Did they leave any evidence of their visit that the neighbor noticed? I've seen on videos that sometimes bears will...ahem...💩poop in a car. 🤢🤦
@@rutykzuty - Their security camera caught it. They were not home, and saw the incident on the camera when they got home. Grandkids left food and soda cups in the van, and didn’t lock it. I’d never leave that responsibility to children. Oh well. No real damage, other than the mess they made and claw scratches near the door handle.
They are so very black, and shiny. At night they move around often without being noticed…..unless a light picks up their eyes.
We live on the Tennessee side of the mountains where Conley lives, about 35 miles from where he lives.

You would have gotten even more of a shock if the car door had opened, the bears disappear inside, and then a few minutes later the car starts up and drives off.
I'm impressed that the bear knew how to open the door properly rather than just busting it off its hinges.
