- After having opened my car door and found nothing of interest, the culprits showed up on the porch looking as innocent as the driven snow. Milo was in a grabby mood today - 5:00.
We're good , tho, it's part of growing up.

Have any of the bears ever gotten so annoyed with your neighbors dog's incessant barking that they decided to attempt to physically diminish the threat?

No don’t submit to NG; they would not find it lovely, humorous, or cute at all!!! They “Frown” upon that with all wildlife! Me, I would be doing the same….we invaded & took over THEIR land & now they have nowhere else to go except to leave that territory. I believe we can co-exist respectfully with each other! Just Respect each other!
Your garden and porch look like something from a fairytale, no wonder those lovely chunky bears absolutely love it!

Simone straddling the porch railing is the cutest thing. And they may spill the seeds, but they do clean them up. I see Milo is testing his boundaries with how close he can get to you. And I love how you reassure Simone that the barking dog is locked up and cannot attack her and her growing cubbies.
I love how Milo comes over for his close up. It's like he knows he's an internet star.

Yeah it’s for the birds, but it may as well be for the bears too, they’ve been there so many times. It’s the first thing Simone goes for.
When they amble on up the steps they give you this head bob and a “Sup”…..simply adore these beautiful creatures…. What would you do without them and what would they do without you….thank you for sharing your life with the bears❤️🐻

It’s just so amazing watching them. For their size they are incredibly agile. It amazes me the places they can go. They are not afraid of anything. Isn’t it incredible how year after year they return and remember every little thing. Animals are just so awesome. I lived in Anchorage and often had moose in our yard but never bears. Saw many bears but none near our home. They are just so fascinating to watch. Come and play Patrick. 😂😂
Circus acts featured bears balancing on large balls and riding tiny motorcycles for a reason ;)

I love how relaxed the bears are - even with a dog barking, they are undisturbed and just continue raiding the bird feeder, and cleaning the seeds off the porch with only a cursory glance in the direction of the sound! It's amazing to watch them and know how close you are to this furry little family. So cute and curious!! Oh Patrick, thank you! This video made my day!

I think the only ones bothered with the barking was my dogs. lol They were running to and fro barking themselves, looking for the barking dog.

Oh my Word. Imagine seeing this bear family just visiting your house? How beautiful to see. You are so lucky. I live in South Africa so this I would never see. Ever. ❤️
I like how Patrick always makes sure to greet the bears in a calm and soft voice. I think the bears (especially the Simone and Ruby families) understand that the calm and soft voice means everything is fine. They also know that when Patrick raises his voice (just a bit), that means that the bears are doing something they shouldn’t.
I also think the bears know that the Porch Rules are fair and consistent. Milo has even learned that he has earned the special privilege of touching Patrick. He knows he has to be gentle or else he might lose that privilege. Milo is smarter than your average bear!
I love how you coexist with these majestic animals. Somehow I think this is how man's interactions with animals is supposed to go.

When I was growing up we had a neighbor like this --- in the summer she would not ring the doorbell. She would just open up the door, see you in the kitchen. Maybe a hello, but she would always open the fridge and help herself. Never asked. Never said thank you. 😒 🐻

The whole area where you live looks like a forest fairyland with all of the beautiful creatures coming to visit. My Aunt Martha lived in Laurenburg, NC until she was 101. When I would talk to her she sounded like a character out of The Andy Griffin show. Long, smooth southern drawl, just wonderful. Great video!
Black bears use their front paw to one another like handshakes to greet their friends. That means Milo considers you as his friend! Good job Patrick. Milo likes you!

I think at this stage, Milo & Luca are starting to lead the daily patrol. They will be showing Simone they have understood all the Motherly instructions to thrive when they eventually part.

I certainly hope animal behaviorists are watching this channel. Yes, Patrick is assuming some risk, but the benefits are great! Having a juvenile bear nibble at his knee and gently touch him with his paw is an honor AND an important insight into how bears think. Milo is a little pushy, but he has shown that the bears are very aware of Patrick’s presence, and Milo wants to have a rapport with Patrick. I think everything Milo has done shows a benevolent interest at the very least.
I think Patrick has let Milo know that Milo has to be patient, gentle, and cope with disappointment peacefully.

Thank you for sharing this video with the bears of course they are always awesome I love those black bears and I love how they come to your house they they know you they respect you and you respect them as well I could see that you care for those bears you know very much you still got to be careful as you already know and I can see one of them was kind of frisky there so but they know they know your house they know where to go you know for the bird feeder and etc so they trust you and what's this fantastic how long of the bears been coming to you and that'd be amazing for me to see if I had a house that I could sit on the porch and have those beers come up every single morning oh my God I would love it and I could see you enjoy it just stay safe and thank you once again Patrick for sharing all those videos
