- Our Girl's fur is pretty much back to normal. It'll get thicker as the temperature drops, I'm sure. I think it's time to put all put the 'mange' rumor to bed.
Fiend Bella is noticeably quieter when she's not protected by a brick house. Probably just fuming. Either way, Simone don't care.

That was a very relaxing visit. Simone amazes me because she's obviously very big and very strong yet her movement is relaxed and refined. Power and restraint is what makes Simone so elegant. She's fascinating to watch. I also liked the sniff goodbye. Thank you for sharing Patrick

It drives me crazy when people use long retractable n longer than 6ft leashes while walking their dogs and headphones on to boot.
In Bella's defense, I think she had to. Her leash expander had run out of 'expand' LOL!

@@ES11777 And the expandable ones unlocked don't get tangled and muddy. Back twenty five years ago I had police officers try to claim I was walking my dog off-leash just because he had a long (usually 16") leash. If needed, they can be shortened and locked in place.

Simone's dainty moves getting the bird seed are so sweet, she wasn't even bothered by a dog who she's gotten used to.
One of the highlights of this video for me is when the dog stood there stunned seeing a big mother of all bear sitting and eating seeds on her porch 🤣

I do have a question for you. How did your neighbors or friends first react when they wanted to come and visit you on your porch and have first seen the bears? lol
Oh Patrick this is great thank you for sharing this. How old is Simone right now? She's looking allot better for sure. When you sometimes have a young bear attempt to approach you and get a little bit frisky, by chance are they males or just their individual personalities? I seen a few pictures of the Black bears in East Tennessee and they look 3-4x larger. Allot more intimidating. I love that your able to live in harmony in a responsible respectful way.

She almost lost her balance too! I still don't know how she manages to be so agile on the rail. Thanks Patrick. PS. Was good to see Miss Bella who was rather quiet when she saw Simone who was not in the least bit bothered.

Simone is nicely rounded and it's good to see her fur coming in. Her balance when straddling the porch railing is phenomenal. And Bella's barking doesn't seem to faze her at all.

Simone is looking better, I'm glad she is getting her fur back for winter! She sat with her back to us. That's a new one! I kept holding my breath, thought she was going to fall a couple times. That was indeed a very loving sniff for Patrick!...but remember, that kind of interaction cannot be reciprocated by humans..Simone is just so pretty!...I am guessing that she must weigh at least 300lbs...good size for a female Black bear...Here in the NW, my sister has a few bears thatr live close to her home...one of the males is very large, at least 400lbs....I know that in Canada and Alaska, Blacks bears can grow to over 500lbs...the record, from Alaska, is over 700lbs!!...that size is nearly like that of a Grizzly!
Her fur looks great. I think since she ran her 2 crazy cubs off she stopped pulling her own hair out!!!!! They were a handfull.

I had multiple thoughts about this particular video. First, it's lovely how Mr. Conley refers to Simone as "our" girl - recognizing how fond so many people people are of Simone, even though we haven't seen her in real life like he has. Second, it looks like Simone waited for Mr. Conley to come out of the house onto the porch before she raided the cookie jar (bird feeder in this case), like she needed his permission to raid the bird feeder and/or she wanted his company while she snacked. It was nice that she didn't pull down the bird feeder this time. Third, I'm glad to see that her fur looks so much better. I hope she's able to put on more weight before she goes into hibernation, regardless of whether or not she's pregnant. Fourth, I was impressed that Bella didn't bark at Simone while she was being walked. You know she knew that Simone was there. Fifth, Simone seems to be violating the personal boundaries that she and Mr. Conley had established. I hope this is just a phase she's going through and not a permanent change in her behavior. Thanks again for allowing me to spend several minutes with my favorite bear. Winnie the Pooh will have to get over his disappointment at being displaced in my pantheon of bears.

Notice the technique. Simone has it down. No paws, perfectly balance. No spillage. Dismount from the rail, and judges give that a 9.6 technique, 9.8 skill, 10 for bear creativity.

Simone's black fur is coming really well. She looks good. Thanks to all the fruits and water she's been finding and punpkin seeds do help with hair loss and regrows hair. Maybe she also has been finding pumpkin seeds somewheres but those tree fruits really help alot also.😇😍Welcome back sweetie we were getting a bit concern about the skin and the fur loss.💋💋

What a terrific video of Simone with her healing skin. Sorry to see her loose her balance but very relieved to see her recover balance quickly. I have always had a little misgiving about her balance beam work.....without a net or air bag. Given her size and weight and potential pregnancy. A fall could be very unfortunate. As usual, though, Simone's innate wisdom on handling the balance issue saved the day. She is in my prayers as back up to her wisdom. Thanks again for this treat offering a new Simone video today.
