i would be the one who's uncomfortable with it not because there's a stranger in my house, but because i'd start panicking whether my bathroom is clean enough or how messy my apartments are

I'd 100% be extremely wary of some random stranger off the street walking into my house. Not happening.
I like the videos when they explain themselves at the end, even if it’s just a few people they inform and not necessarily every single person. Asking for showers without the “hey, this was an experiment” feels a little like a movie or book without an ending.

If they said "no", that basically means that they are not kind enough to trust you for having a quick shower in their house... one of the most elementary needs of the human being. we're all just neighbours eventually, even if we live far from each other...

Could we appreciate those who say yes to the most random/weird requests and go out of their own way to help someone? Those are really national treasures and it speaks volumes about their friendly charchter.
to be fair, i'm sure some ppl would love to say yes but have their reasons. Me for example, I'd be embarrassed because i'm not a neat freak lol. If I had cleaned that day, then i'd say yes. But I do agree about the ppl who said yes, but it doesn't mean the opposite for every person that said no
@@AML147 I am sure they had their reasons. I just wanted to applaud those who say yes to uncomfortable situations just to help someone out. In your example though, it would be completely fine if you helped them out while the place is messy. After all it’s not like you were expecting someone :))

I legit don't know how you guys do it. It takes so much courage. I like how that guy was like "sorry you can't use my shower but are you okay?" He cared but he had a safety concern.
Also... when you said it takes 1 yes to encourage you when you feel defeated... that extends to so many things.

"Are you ok?" is the question everyone should have asked.

The backpacking story was brilliant. Putting myself in their shoes, I would be fine for the once having someone using it, But the concern is that they could be some weirdo that might keep coming back to your house. The backpacking story reminds people of being spontaneous, while assuring them that you won't be a nuisance later.

This one is the first one that I think I'd say a flatout no to. If someone randomly wants to use my shower and I get the feeling I'm not getting the full story I'm shutting that door straight away. Best case scenario there is a naked stranger in my house, worst case scenario is a multitude of options

I think the score was 1-2, but I count the half point for the guy who said yes and another half point for the outdoor shower because it isn’t as much of an invasion of privacy as an indoor bathroom shower.

Man, you guys make some of the most wholesome videos online. I'll be honest, I felt a little bad at the start that we had to lie to everyone- even though I totally get it- but I was so sold once you guys got that first shower in. I wish we could have seen the moment you let them in on it- so long as they consented to being on camera of course! Felt like that really would have tied the whole thing together but it was a great video regardless!

This is a great video! I love this channel, it’s so fun and wholesome. The hitchhiking across America videos are my favorite videos that you’ve done. I think asking strangers if you can take a shower in their house is pretty weird though. I mean, it’s like, what’s next, asking strangers if you can sleep in their bed or something 😂 I really liked this video though, keep up the good work 👍😊
