You guys were super non awkward as much as it likely felt awkward. And everyone was so nice it looked like you could have been awkward AF and they’d still love ya! Enjoy Austin!!
Bro y’all are the reason I ain’t shy anymore. After watching your vids I could talk to anyone no problem. Before I couldn’t even talk to a girl but now I can engage in a conversation and it’s really helped. Thank you to you and your friends for showing what I thought was impossible was possible.
I've never really been shy but always sort of waited for what I thought was a socially appropriate situation to talk to people but after watching his content I've realized that even if you will get rejected sometimes you can usually just walk right up and start chatting with people. The one where we got the girl to come to a party after knocking on her door was absolutely wild. Definitelly made me realize it's still worth it to try even in the randomesy situations.
What you guys are doing here is beautiful. Not just the idea of it but the fact that you're specifically trying to show anyone you can in this isolated world that it's possible to just approach people! The fact that you show you're still anxious to do it too, really, it's a wonderful thing you're doing here. This world needs people like you, perhaps more than most anything else.
I'm gonna be honest, every time a stranger walked up to me and asked my name and shaked hands, I always get immediately suspicious. Because all the time they're either trying to sell me something or just straight up ask for money. I would never trust anyone to not have ulterior motives if they ask my phone number or invite me to their house for 'events'.
True, also as a woman you are more suspicious on people's intent in general. I like talking to strangers though but in controlled environment. I love hostels for that, you can approach people and chat to them so easily and the next thing you know, you have new friends and you end up doing things in a new city with them the next day.
Lol. This is how you miss opportunities though! They are trying to show you! I understand keeping yourself safe. I met my husband through a random friend of his. We were in the same Facebook photos as each other for months at concerts, but had never met, & were only 2 feet from one another. I asked his friends name & we connected (platonically). He introduced me to all his friends on like the first day hanging out, my husband being one of them, many years later on. If I hadn’t reached out to the random guy tagged in the same photos as me to become friends, I may have never met my guy! Just a happy way of saying, reach out if you have the feeling. “Seeking discomfort” doesn’t mean “ignore danger”. You’ll sense the difference. Good luck on branching out 😊
The difference and progress between the previous video and this video is massive. Once you quit trying to prepare what you're going to say to a stranger, the easier it is. But it isn't always easy. The people you joined most likely wouldn't have the stomach to do what you guys did in this video, so massive props. Love this content.

I genuinely love making connections with others and have always been the one to put myself out there in my group of friends. Just as much as they have always given me crap for being able to just talk to a stranger, I give them crap for not being able too. Too me it's fascinating to think about how easy it is to connect with someone even off the tiniest gestures like, "hey, I love your shirt. Where'd you get it?" Even if you don't make a friend, you're still leaving that individual with something to feel happy about. There's literally nothing to lose and quite possibly everything to gain from making friends. I love what you guys are doing and I hope your channel blows up in popularity! 🤷🏽♂️ Just my two scents.
I love this channel so much, I am chronically socially isolated and have been for a number of years due to mental and chronic illness and so this channel means a lot. It's so wholesome seeing you guys reach out to people and I am also a person who will push myself to do scary things, because I'm alone a lot of the time, I will go up to strangers (like you did in the park) and join their games.
I don't want to be 'that' guy but I'd really love for a black or a brown person to try this. I'm pretty sure most people would still be kind but it'd be fun to see if the interactions are different in any way if at all.

Edit: I completely neglected to update this for a while but yes I have met some very friendly people, to those who have asked. The city I live in has a bit of a reputation for being friendly which makes life easier, but either way, it goes to show that it is possible :) Edit 2: The city is Köln, Germany. I’m finding it doable even with a language barrier so theoretically it should be even easier with a common language

At 57 I am starting to not want to be around other people. But I have enjoyed all of your videos, and they are helping me to realize I need to remember who I am.
I go freshwater fishing all the time. You wouldn't believe the nice people I've met who asked to join me, and me seeing someone fishing alone asking them if they want to tag along with me. Made many friends at local lakes, and a few of us get together all the time for a day of fishing.
I'm from Canada and when Brad mentioned he's from Kingston and the guy said "kind of by Toronto" made me wheeze because it's actually more closer to Ottawa than Toronto! (Kingston is about 3 hours away from TO). I do have to say, Great video! Nice to see fellow Canadians out and about making videos like this :)
And another great content from Discover connection! I love your videos. I would certainly go fishing with the tattoo artist and play chess with chess guy, they are chill af 😄👍
I always find it interesting in how meeting new people and having a conversation with them can actually help you gain knowledge or learn something you didn't know.
I want to add this for people who have social anxiety/are shy: a lot of these guys' sucess henches on their body language and the way they speak. Being non threatening (especially with women) in these areas helps a lot. Being open, kind and accepting of a "no" makes such a big difference

I love how welcoming they all were! These videos always restore my faith in humanity, it makes my day! Keep up the good work :)
This is absolutely quality! Great examples of how easy it can be to interact with others! 💪👏👊
I love the idea of creating a team like Yes Theory has but just a content house full of amazing positivity and connections! This is great! You are a big inspiration to me Brad, keep up the great work!
This is actually so wholesome! After seeing videos of people approaching girls and hitting on them and trying to get their numbers, its just so cool to see you guys out here just genuinly making friends
At 57 I am starting to not want to be around other people. But I have enjoyed all of your videos, and they are helping me to realize I need to remember who I am.
Came here from the SunnyV2 video and I'm already in love with this channel and the message it brings. Thank you :)
This channel is transformative!
I go freshwater fishing all the time. You wouldn't believe the nice people I've met who asked to join me, and me seeing someone fishing alone asking them if they want to tag along with me. Made many friends at local lakes, and a few of us get together all the time for a day of fishing.
appreciate seeing you let them know its being recorded. I have felt conflucted with your channel until I saw that. Thank you
I was in Austin TX myself for a couple weeks some months ago!!! Awesome to see you enjoying the weather Brad!!!!
This is the best content on youtube keep going brother. Love from vancouver
There is no way you guys are only at 600k subscribers! I can so see your channel blowing up in the near future
Found this channel a little bit ago and I love this. Humans are social by nature and this is absolutely something I want to try doing sometime.
You don’t know the joy the gave that fisherman! It’s always awesome to get someone on their first fish!
I struggle with meeting ppl an having connections thanks for showing how its done
SunnyV2 brought me here and im so glad, im binging all your vids!
And another great content from Discover connection! I love your videos. I would certainly go fishing with the tattoo artist and play chess with chess guy, they are chill af 😄👍
I always find it interesting in how meeting new people and having a conversation with them can actually help you gain knowledge or learn something you didn't know.
This was freaking awesome. I need to try this. You guys rocked it and those people were all super cool!
I want to add this for people who have social anxiety/are shy: a lot of these guys' sucess henches on their body language and the way they speak. Being non threatening (especially with women) in these areas helps a lot. Being open, kind and accepting of a "no" makes such a big difference
Fist duo, one has his pilot license and the other is a finance major - that's wassup!
It always makes my day when i see an upload on this channel. lova to y'all
❤️
That’s the spirit guys. Can relate to all of that so much. Done it before and am always afraid to do it time and time again
Love, love, Love your concept and videos!!!!!!!!
This was an awesome episode! Thanks for showing up what is possible ❤
I love your videos, you find lovely people and show us how the world is not as bad it seems... Very cool! ❤
I love this channel so much, found yall yesterday and can't get enough of it. Absolutely perfect I must say. :)
dude this is so sweet i have severe social anxiety but these vids js make me wanna go out n talk to ppl
This is surprisingly wholesome
we need more content like this in the world where so many people are used to online interaction that we've forgotten how real friendships start.
The chess dude was amazing. Im taking a philosophy class this semester and its one of my favorite because we talk about similar things to what he was mentioning!
I wanna be more like him. I have horrible anxiety and I’m so introverted that it’s crazy and this inspires me thank you for your videos. New subscriber ❤
