- This is a how to video for recharging your AC on a 2003 Ford Explorer. It is a very simple process that only takes a few minutes and will save you time and money. The kit was only $40 which is at least half the price of taking it in to a shop minus the hour wait time or longer. After completing this process the A/C worked a lot better. If after doing this there is no change in the air temperature then it may be too low for you to use this method. It may need professionally charged if there isn't some other problem with your A/C system.
Thank you so much. As a single woman who's learning how to maintain my own vehicle, videos like this are worth their weight in gold. I have a Mountaineer but the Explorer is basically the same thing.

Entonces la presión adecuada depende de la temperatura ambiente?
yes it is based on the current temperature in your area. Si la presion adequada depende de la temperatura ambiente

Is the cap necessary? Mine is missing
I believe so. The lack of the cap can increase chances of a leak. Also the cap keeps debris out of your line. I would just pick one up at the junkyard if possible. I imagine that would be the quickest and cheapest way of getting one.
Thank u :)
You're welcome. Glad the video hepled
Did it pump out colder air? Or was it the same?
It was colder after the charge. If this method does not work for you then it is probably to low to charge it this way. If it remains the same it may need professionally charged if there isnt another problem with with your a/c system.
