It's been a long time since you last uploaded... but I'm running into an issue that is concerning to me. I was gifted a tower garden for fathers day, I have it loaded with mostly fantastic growing herbs veggies and tomatoes. The problem I'm having, is I have the pump turned to max flow, and a few of the plants(celery, green onion and chives) seem to be wilting daily. I checked it out, and water is not falling on their baskets, or the stunted roots of the plants. Do I need to trim roots above them, or is it a possible flow problem. I cut back roots weekly that make it into the reservoir, to prevent blockage of the pump(watermelon, 8ball zucchini, black cherry tomatoes, and sweet pea tomatoes) I've checked the pumps output and it seems normal. It's just the 2 or maybe 3 locations that are struggling to produce. I'm not sure what to do because everything else is flowering, and starting to produce, and bees have FINALLY found the garden to help pollinate. I know I started late, so time is of the essence. I removed the celery today, and put another cherry tomato seedling I had as backup in rockwool this morning to test it... maybe I have some diseased plants? Or it's just a simple flow problem. If it is flow, would a stronger GPH pump fix the issue or do I need to intervene and start chopping roots higher up the tower? I'm extremely hesitant to mess with any roots, so I don't want to do anything without confirmation from someone experienced.

i grow a home wheat grass and learned there's a thing called bottom watering, which can help mitigate mould. Just introduce the water into the roots, avoid splashing the leaves, simply enough. Use an overhead fan. To keep mould and other undesirable organisms at bay, I highly recommend a biological product make by a Japanese Scientist called Efficient Mircro-organisms or EM-1. Its what makes Kambucha. A synergistic mating of three diverse beneficial organisms, which together completely digest dead organic material. ie flies lay their eggs in incompletely digested organic material. EM1 also gets rid of smells, and is healthy to ingest. So you can use it liberally to 'disinfect' by inoculating surfaces. You can spray it all around, it is fermented with molasses so it will leave a dingy residue, whcih will be washed off later, but otherwise great all over. Used in pig feed to foster 30% growth improvement.(for better market sale). Cleans manure piles. Urine etc etc and espc on a farm: cross contamination between buildings carried by workers boots and gear, and cart wheels.. No more bleach and sterilizing killers! it a living method of mediating microbiological interaction in a wholistic manner according to life. It can even digest radiation!- Another Japanese scientist sprayed it on his orchard contaminated with radiation after Fukashima, and it cleared it. He presented the test results to his government. That's an explosive discovery. I buy Fugo's students' product called Pro Bio. You can ferment your own from the mother culture and easily make 5x. Available in Canada at organic Gardeners Pantry in Victoria BC. they have a website.
