It's the point of him not being considerate enough to care that she worked, prepared for a dinner party, and he can't even be bothered to help her clean after. It's beyond paying bills and sex.
She wanted him to offer to help without her asking he should think about what she did that day work cleaning and cooking he should think to himself i need to help her out
It's not about the flowers.
It's not about the lemons.
It's not about the dishes.
It's about the fact that those are things she cares about and because he doesn't care about them it's automatically a non-issue to him instead of taking some time out of his day to help her with the things she cares about.
He was just insecured. Fighting over because his ego was hurt.

Yes! But he got her lemons and she ignored many of the great things he did for her! Not just I give you cooking and a little sex and now it’s time for me to switch that off as it always needs to be traded!
Not really. She worked her butt off all day long to cook that meal and he can’t even even help her clean. He should be cleaning the whole thing himself.

Here is a pro tip. Yes, he is a lazy man child but she is horrible at communication. What he should’ve done is said look honey. I understand that you are tired and thank you so much for cleaning the house and preparing that meal. Here’s where you should do go to bed. Take a shower go to bed early. I’m gonna stay up I’m gonna do my thing here but before I go to bed, I will clean the dishes. I will clean up everything and then when you wake up tomorrow morning, the house will be clean you don’t have to worry about that. Problem solved, argument averted.
She communicated pretty clearly what she wanted. She wanted him to help her and clearly expressed that desire. And then he said she was “acting crazy” because she was complaining about his inaction. She is frustrated with a consistent pattern and he refuses to change because he’s immature and is not willing to change. I despise people like Gary, have met people like Gary, and have a brother exactly like Gary….. she is not the problem here. If I were her I would have left immediately. I agree with how he should have handled it and both parties should not have yelled. But she is frustrated!!! And is a human being…. When this becomes a pattern you get damn tired. You would know that…. As a pro!

Let me put it this way, a comedian once said some men pretend to be a 10 in personality until they get the girl. After they got the girl, they slowly reveal their real level in personality like a 4. Now, she's wondering wth while cleaning the kitchen, doing the laundry and vacuuming the car, 'what happened to the guy I was dating.' Turns out; it was a magic trick. That guy was never there in the first place.

I hate it. My ex husband was a lazy pig too. I had to do practically everything. His dumb philosophy is he brought home the bacon at the time and I was a stay at home mom. But I believe any kind of relationship is suppose to be a two way street.
