5 - Still working on the foundations of the wooden deck

I’m back at the property and I’m working on concrete footings…again. I didn’t film all of the work I did on those. I feel like I’ve shown enough of that in episodes 2, 4 and mainly 3.
The weather was lovely in the first week. A bit cloudy at times, but nothing wrong with that when you’re doing physical labor. The second week however, was looking grim. To be honest, I didn’t hang around to find out how accurate the forecast was. After a couple of cloudy days, my power station had only 30 percent power left. I estimated that it had just 1 day, before I was going to be out of power. There simply was not enough sunshine for the solar panels to charge the battery. The main consumer of power is the fridge and it (mainly) contains Zara’s frozen meat. In the end I decided to leave early. That means that I returned home after just 1 week.
I am very pleased with the 4 additional footings though. Only 6 more to go. Two more tours of pouring concrete. And then…I can start working on the wooden construction of the deck! Looking forward to that!

Yep, and a lot of them as well. Especially in August and September, you see/hear them all the time.
