3 - First row of concrete footings

This tour I’m mainly working on the first row of concrete footings. It’s 7 days of digging holes, cutting rebar, mixing concrete and a lot of measuring.
Since summer is over, it’s safe to use the brushcutter again. It feels good to clean up the area around the house. In the future I also need to remove the trees and bushes that border the hillside of the house. I don’t want them to destroy the walls. But that’s something for a future episode.
I’m also working on the driveway again. I need some additional space to conveniently park the trailer and still have some room to manoeuver the car.
The design of the interior of the house is still in progress. There’s no rush, cause my main focus for now is the platform for which I’m creating the footings.

I think you should have put a washer and nut on the bottom of the center rod, and then painted the whole rod. At the top when troweling you needed to cover the threads in tape. Should have put a time-capsule under the footings.

Try a wetter concrete mix. You can pour directly into the form, then tap the side of the form to eliminate voids. This will also insure a 100% cure.

@DSTE I followed the instructions on the bag to the letter, but the mix ended up pretty dry. Adding more water is probably a good idea. Thanks for your suggestion!

Warum keinen simson stützenfuss zum einbetonieren 24mm. Mit Loch für einen stabdübel gegen Abheben!!!😮😮
