@@uwemommens They arent banned, contrary to popular belief, they were just skipped, especially after reunification. As the first stanza calls for German Unity and strength, the second about being drunk, so it doesnt fit with the situation at the time, so the last stanza, that is about German Unity, is being used as its about the Unity of the German People, especially symbolic as the Germans had to endure decades of separation after the war. The stanzas arent banned, they just arent used, you wont get fined for singing it
@@CoiboiXD I know all that, nor have I written anywhere that the first two stanzas are banned. A deletion of the second verse, which I think is ridiculous, would be very desirable.
