- In this video we compared three different tone woods.
1. Walnut ( Walnuss)
2. Beech ( Buche)
3. Cherry ( Kirsche)
The 12 inch toms were built in a stave construction which each is 12mm in thickness. We tuned them to the exact frequency described at the end of the video. The drums are equipped with a Ambassador coated on top and a Ambassador clear on the bottom.
It was a fun thing to do and we were curious if we could hear or feel a difference. What do you think ? Listen with headphones or good speakers.
Drums are played by Lukas Gasser. Big thanks to him for video and sound editing as well. - เพลง
cherry have a fantastic sustain
Wonderful...🤤
That kick drum distracts me :)
Same here 😅
Hi, for me walnut is the most open sounding.
Did you use tunebot for the bass drum? If you did, could you tell me the hz? Thx
Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately not, was tuned by ear. Very low of course it is a 18x14 walnut bassdrum with a Ambassador coated batter.
