Once again, glad I've always had the right idea on how to write a tragic hero thanks to this video, though the first point is very interesting.
And that's the beauty in the irony of our humanity when it has even a sliver of justice by its side. To be imperfect is to be perfect.

Why did you skip the extremely crucial part where Eren gets over his trauma-induced depression upon hearing a story about how his mother saw him?
Also: If seeing that he became a piece of shit is what broke him, then what was it that caused him to become a piece of shit in the first place?
Do you realize how flawed and selective your logic is?

And Historia words on the reiss cave helped Eren get over his depression too. It´s sad the anime made this scene a joke. Helped him so much that eren said similar words to free Yrmir on chapter 122.

AOT is a deterministic universe, and as such whatever Eren saw is a self-fulfilling prophecy, just like how eren could not have used the founding titan to manipulate Grisha if grisha had not been already been manipulated by him by future him. The point is basically that everything is decided. There is no starting point for a cause, there is only effect, A lot of stories use this as a time travel mechanic and a mystery mechanism.

Eren is not even a villain lol. In aot narrative Eren is the one who decided to carry the burden to end the titan curse.
In a AOT universe "the sins of the father" is the standart mindset, and Eren was the only one who tried to stop the cicle of children having to eat their parents.
Name one character who actually did something to stop the titan curse....yeah none

That's almost fun how nobody acknowledged that there was cannibalism included. It's so ironic that in the last season they reveal that the first titans weren't turning to titans even to eat their parents - they just ate a human straightforwardly without the convenience of losing memory in the process. And the girl who's basically an eternal slave, which also inhumane to keep her living like that, but conveniently enough - not many people knew about the fact she was real. But all that is just one side of problems. On the other hand, we have huge huge issue with nazi Marley, and fundamentally a nazi world. Where certain people were treated like shit just because of their badge color. «You're eldian? Oh, sure you aren't human then» - and that's common everywhere in the world. Not just Marley. Honestly who would like to live in such a world, as an eldian? Some were forced to hate eldians, but some choose this behavior voluntarily. I would also love to see such a world being destroyed. But of course, I'm sure there was a better way than complete genocide, it wasn't the best choice. And if Erwin would live, I'm pretty sure he would figure a better plan. For example, instead of just destroying military ships in Marley, they could capture entire Marley, and place in power their infiltrators. Yes, they would become a police state, but a police state in a world full of nazi shit is basically a savior. Everyone would be treated equally as a human, at least by law. Those commoners who choose the hate voluntarily - they wouldn't disappear all of a sudden, so life of eldians in Marley wouldn't become ideal in one day - but gradually, they would be able to make things better, under a strict control and law. Unfortunately, islanders didn't have a smart mind to make that happen. Armin isn't that much of a bright mind, he's still a boy, he couldn't make up such a grand plan, and he somehow managed to become complete useless after he became colossal. Hange is just stupid enough to keep Eren in prison, not a smart inaction-move either. As well as their general Darius Zackly who seems to command to put Eren to prison in the first place - also a complete idiot, who was still at his general position only thanks to Erwin. And of course, Eren himself, - as he acknowledged in the end, he was just an ordinary boy who got a great power. He just wasn't able to come up with something smart enough to resolve all these problems properly. So complete genocide isn't really «evil protagonist», it's just a stupid solution of a stupid boy in a stupid world. Not the best solution. It wasn't the worst though. The worst would be to choose inaction like Hange did to Eren. Inaction means Marley is going to capture the island, and the titans, and make the island a slave-state where every eldian would be treated inhumanely - just like everywhere else.

Actually they along with every eledian would be exterminated. It was a us or them scenario. Eren tried everything to prevent it but Marley kept pushing for war. Which they got. If Eren was a true villan he just would have killed all of them and repopulated the world with eldians. Instead he sacrificed what little time he had left and took a big risk by letting twenty percent live. When the enemy wouldn’t have spared a single
      Eldian once their usefulness expired

Also Marley would have killed far more people
In the long run then Eren did as they turned the world into 1984
