Honestly do not see the point of videos like this. Fasciculations are not the typical first presentation. And sensory things like tingling, pain, numbness are also not typical. Weakness in a limb. ALS is also very rare. Your chances of dying in a car accident are 1/100 in the US. Also remember that BFS and other conditions that mimic ALS and are far, far more common.
Been twitching for almost 25 years now. Body wide, even tongue. No weakness but constant anxiety. Not all fasciculations are tied to motor neuron issues.
I read a study that said 1/400 men could get ALS in their life time. Pretty insane statistic honestly. Idk how I feel about it. Scary stuff. I’d rather eat a bullet that to suffer that way.
For 1 months having muscle fasciculations in my legs NON STOP! It’s like they are vibrating constantly and small spasms. I feel this most when I lie down in bed. Last week woke up with a sleepy feet ( while moving my leg sleepiness went away and so did the tingling) but right now I feel sometimes a needle feeling in my left feet even when I’m standing or when I’m lying in bed or sitting on the chair. This goes away after a couple seconds and doesn’t stay but the muscle twitching is present continuously. I’m so scared I’m having ms or als or a brain tumor.

In the Netherlands they don’t always test on that. But Google told me magnesium deficiency makes muscles spasm etc, so I listened to Google this time, my doc send me home time after time.
Me too. I’m scared . My hands also tremble slightly and I have brain fog - I had an mri they said it was normal- my family thinks I’m exaggerating or they don’t understand how worrisome this is
My brother and his wife had a friend (she has since died from something else) who was having difficulty walking, and she was actually very happy to find out that it was "just" lymphoma, because the first thing they tested her for was ALS. At least lymphoma can be treated, and in her case, it was. The treatment did have lifelong side effects, but at least it wasn't ALS.
Have been having this twitches for a few months now. Some days more so than others. My entire body appears to be in fight or flight mode. I’m coming down a little bit but my lord, this disease brings out the absolute worst anxiety for me. I have read so much on dr. My leg muscles have been twitching for a week. Both calf muscles but the right one not as much. Both feet kinda twitch too. And my left thigh just above the knee will twitch. Weakness in the knee and some foot numbness. It goes on 24/7

@@chrisday3993 went to neurologist and did the EMG and the needle test. He said it’s benign. My calves still twitch 24/7, sometimes in the left arm and my buttocks sometimes also. It’s not going away but not getting worse either
I’m a 28 year old woman and randomly one day I started to get painless twitches throughout my body. My arms, legs, butt, face, hands pretty much everywhere I recently have had pains in my hands when making a fit or not being able to open things because my hands hurt.. I don’t know if that plays a part or it’s just because i work with my hands making jewelry so I did research and seen my symptoms were some of ALS I’m terrified I have it these twitches have been none stop everyday for two months. I literally lose sleep over it, I get such bad anxiety as well. I’m so fearful and my doctor said he will refer me to a neurologist I’m just so scared what they will find….. 😭
@@WizzleTeats69 I twitch here and there but no where near as much as I was… my hands still hurt at times but not as bad as they did I still go to the gym workout lift and what have you symptoms are getting better rather than worse it’s still just scary.
@@JoyceLaruan my grandma has fibromyalgia The twitching has definitely calmed down I will get like one or two random twitches here and there but I was also talking to my mom about it she said that she promises it’s not ALS if it was I wouldn’t be able to do half the things that I do I go to the gym Monday through Friday hit cardio jump rope and lift heavyweights but I haven’t from my knowledge had any weakness necessarily it is more so the twitching and only my hands feeling sore
Update I went to the neurologist they did a exam they think it was from me having Covid which is crazy to me. But she believes that’s what it is on top I workout a lot
You heard right, but as FDA doesn't give a damn about that drug (called Nurown) as they see no money benefit in it, patients will never ever get the taste of it.
I am really scared of this. I had meningitis and my brain and spinal cord was inflamed also had clinical weakness and i lost a lot of weight. Once i regained weight and gained strength i started feeling fasciculations in my arm. Few weeks later my whole body was having fasciculations and it got me worried. I have isometric tremor and damaged nerves but i started walking again and functioning normally but my fingers and hands are shaking and fasciculations are present. I really hope it is not ALS.
@@andyfernandez3288 neurologists believe its multiple sclerosis. Be safe and if you expirience fasciculations longer than 3 months and you are not weakened. Its safe to say you dont have als. Muscle twitch is common, less common is twitching of the whole body

@@LonniMoviin not necessarily. You should get checked out. ALS is extremely rare from what I've read and usually affects people over the age of 40 but there are cases of people that are younger suffering fromit
For those with fasciculations, eliminate eggs, any type of chocolate and caffeine and see if things get better in a couple of weeks. I quite gluten 10 years ago and when i get into chocolate or eggs the fasciculations and cramps come back. I take a calcium citrate in the mornign and at lunch 150 mg each time and i take a couple of drop of liquid vitamin d in the am it's about 1000iu, and i take b-12 liquid 500ug (micrograms) in the am, and before bed i take 300 mg magnesium glycinate, i am extremely active and lift weights 4-5 times a week and bike and run daily.,
Very interesting. I have extreme muscle fatigue and soreness. No twitching but I heavily partake in caffeine and sweets. Wondering why my entire body has weak muscles. Been going on for 10 months now.

So wrong when kids with boredom are labeled and diagnosed as hyper active add and go en heavy drugs when the kid is normal and I see many people my girlfriend is one , doctor told her she has in imbalance in brain and needs these anti depressant , meanwhile no tests ,no proof. Just give drugs and label as many people because it keeps the dope selling. Doctors are mostly drug pushing reg people with more education than most , they still make false diagnosis regularly. I have a twitch started as well , nerves ? Muscle or tendons ? Strange

I had a high school friend die of ALS and before that, I'd always assumed cancer was the worst disease.
For those with anxiety keep in mind that weakness occurs before the fasciculations for ALS not the other way around usually

Its so complex. ALS symptoms might also be something as simple as lack of potassium - I mean, going to a neurologist would be the best ideal.
You mean lack of potassium causes same symptoms as of ALS? My doctor asked me this because I suffer from fasciculations and muscle pain

My als started in my feet. After seven years my voice is strong but it is in my back, arms and hands.

I have been told I have cervical sponlitic Myelopathy which is a mimic of ALS.

The main symptom in ALS is muscle weakness that progresses. Muscle twiching is not a early sign.

It’s extremely rare unless it’s fALS. Sporadic juvenile onset ALS occurs at about a rate of 0.6 per million persons.
