3D printing is revolutionizing the way we create all types of objects - including mini versions of ourselves. German company DOOB 3D (www.doob3d.com) recently set up shop in NYC, where anyone can get a tiny figurine made of themselves. The company originally developed its technology to scan cancer and stroke victims to be fitted for prosthetics. Now it’s being used to produce 3D selfies.

Factor that all in and the $95 asking price for a replica of yourself that’s roughly the size of most classic Star Warsaction figures doesn’t seem so bad. A Barbie-esque 10-inch model goes for $395, while a 14-inch figure that’s more along the lines of an old-school G.I. Joe doll costs $695.
I'll wait for them to get a bit better quality if that's the going price.
