How to 3D-Scan Action Figures with the Revopoint MINI

- Revopoint sent me their latest device, the MINI Blue Light 3D-Scanner. I used it to scan a few of my action figures and compared the results to one of their oldest 3D-Scanners, the Revopoint POP. After scanning the objects, I 3D-printed them using both an FDM 3D-Printer and a Resin 3D-Printer.

Oh I’m sooooo buying this !!!
Scanning technical objects like raspberry case (inside and outside) would be great.
You are making me want this scanner more and more for my upcoming cosplay stuff, I’m about to scan EVERYTHANG.
It's a lot of fun! It may require a bit of patience in the beginning, but once you get the hang of it, it's great!
So how about those tips and tricks you mention for smaller action figures. I am trying to get my mini to scan 3.75" figures now and having some struggles. Thanks!
Pretty cool and neat stuff Duane, keep up the good work bro 😊
Thanks for the kind words!!
@@DuaneShootsToys Hey D, scratch my previous message, I just love and am fascinated by miniuare stuff. You are doing things that I really love but sadly they don't sell them in stores. Hence I asked you. Hope I didn't freak you out bud 👍

This is great guide for mini figures, my friend :) I actually wondering if it making actual joint with it ;)
Thanks! The 3D models that I made don't have moveable joints, but I suppose if you took the original figure apart and scanned all the pieces separately, you could assemble them into an articulated action figure. Maybe I'll try that sometime haha 😁👍
So if someone were to repeat this process all the way through, albeit a change in outcome, could they theoretically scan a figure to be used as a model for VR Chat? Or any other 3D animation software for that matter?
I haven't done it myself, but I'm pretty sure you can 3D-scan objects and use them as assets in video game development, 3D-animations, etc.

i wonder if i can add and edit articulation in blender after scanning?
Would you recommend this for other 3.75” figures like 80s GI Joes or Star Wars?
Are the printed ones poseable?
