I hope 'The Batman 2' really gives Bruce an opportunity to be in the movie. I feel like the movie did a good job establishing that Batman IS his personality, but forgot Bruce is supposed to be the mask. Maybe not forget, it might have been intentional because his arc was centered around realizing that Batman is only part one of the puzzle to save Gotham, and he realize Bruce is needed in the sequel. I also think Robin would be very helpful in the sequel, perhaps the circus comes in as a fund raiser, and then having Robin around starts to break Bruce's hard shell which was kind of the point of Robin.
Bruce is not supposed to be the mask. Thats such a common trope that most batman writers hate and for good reason. When it comes to his philanthropic work, thats who bruce wayne is, and he loves using his money for things like that. Making it seem like he doesn’t and he just does it for a public image makes him seem like too much of a fucking douchebag.
To be fair, despite battinson having the most similar Bruce Wayne and Batman, he’s like the only live action Batman other than the (really) old ones who manages to keep his identity hidden from EVERYONE throughout the film. Hell even Bale’s Batman gets discovered by more than one person
@ really because i Thought the reason he hated the Batman was that Bruce wasn’t a “real orphan” and got so much attention from the media while he rotted in the orphanage
@@Gryffb777 holy fucking shit dude. Did u watch the film or just the trailer? Riddler idolised the Batman, he’s literally his inspiration. He hated Bruce Wayne, but didn’t know they were the same person
Michael Keaton wins imo because Bruce Wayne there is a recluse and the vast majority of people don't know what he even looks like. Yes he's a bit off his rocker but you'd need to already be in his close circle of trust to discover that.
Adam west Batman was able to hold a conversation as both Batman AND Bruce Wane while talking to someone else, and himself! #1 spot placement is well deserved /j
Christian Bale's version include jumping into water with a bunch of gorgeous model in a public party, booking a yacht and take out a troop of ballerina's to sea while flying to Hong kong to nab a chinese fellow. The rest did not do this. Michael Keaton's version took his mask off in front of Vicky and Penguin.
@@billymoore7182 i agree with u. Bale also rammed his sports car into Gordon's police car, acting like an irresponsible playboy when he was really trying to stop Gordon.
I have a theory on how Pattinsons Batman hides his identity. In the Batman universe there is the eyedrops drug that seems to be popular in the streets. "Dropheads," the addicts have red eyes. Due to Batman's special lenses he has those red eyes too. Instead of the classic playboy billionaire, the people of gotham think bruce wayne is a drophead. What also helps is that this version of batman seems to be "addicted" to batman, he doesn't sleep and he doesn't go out much. This falls in line with stereotypical addict behaviour. When he goes out to the iceberg lounge as Bruce Wayne he kinda acts as if he's on a supply run. (But that is just my theory)
I agree with this list, although perhaps switching Keaton and Affleck, maybe they're equal second. Kudos for including the black and white Batman actors!

I have a feeling that's where there going with the story, which would be good.

I think the scene with the mayor elect questioning Wayne about why he doesn't get more involved in charity/philanthropy will pay off in that way.
Funny thing is i was watching the bat man for the first time with my dad and he some how immediately recognized him as Robert Pattinson after a minute

Micheal Keaton is #1

That's valid. It was probably my favorite scene in the whole series.

That's what makes him the best Bruce Wyane, he was a lady's man. Bruce Wyane is well liked or disliked by women.

I like the fresh idea of ranking them this way. It beats some entirely opinionated “best” Batman ranking.
Thanks!
The benefit to Michael Keaton's Batman is that he appears to be wearing a neck brace while in costume.
