Thank you so much! I actually got all my packing stuff at Lowes and Home Depot. They are comparable in prices, have a whole moving section and I just went to whichever one I was closer to when running errands.
Yes, I am moving to Texas , I’m from California. And yes, that’s what I’m doing just making the box and packing the box. I had packed a box and made it very heavy , so I had to take stuff out. Also, another thing the tape doesn’t seem to stick at times , so have to double or triple tape. But, I’m getting there. Thank you for your advise it goes help. Thank you much. I am so glad the videos helped you! It is nice to see other people going through the same things, I find it very motivating which is why I make videos. Oh and for the tape, I have found that the cheapest off-brand tape does not stick very well and you end up using SOOO much it costs the same or more than brand name so now I by better tape and find myself using less. Good luck with your move to Texas!
There was a significant cost savings. Since we were moving such a long distance most of the moving quotes we were getting from full service company's were $20K and up. Using Pods the cost was around $7k in the end. MUCH CHEAPER but you get what you pay for. It was exhausting ang stressful and since everything didn't fit in the PODS for us, we had to trash a bunch of stuff in the end which was a bummer.... Good luck!

wow 3 Pods .. how much you paid vs regular movers ? they quote me 4k for 1590 miles.
