This is so awesome!!!! I have a few questions as a filmmaker myself: - what sound effect did you use for the starting from 0:00 to 0:04? (I thought it sounded really eerie but in a good way that hooked me in) - what sound effect did you use for the transition at 0:05/0:06? (Again really good sound design!!) - what sound effect did you use for the transition at 0:14? (I can't stress this enough, soooo gooddd) - oh and this was brilliant background music at 0:14 to 0:28 (really hooked me in and had me hyped for a good video) All in all, I found this a really helpful video with a truly LEGENDARY intro sequence. I'll be honest and say that the pacing after the intro was slightly slower and could be faster but was great nevertheless!!!
Thanks the feedback :) The sounds the of the first part of the intro sequence are made up of a few layers of different sounds combined into one. The very first sound is a heavily-reverbed G key on a piano, followed by 3 different ambiences layered together, mainly from Tropical Color's Cinematic Pack. The sound effects for the transition at 0:05 is from the film burn pack from AcidBite The transition at 00:14 is from AcidBite. These sound packs are paid but I've been editing videos for a while and, in the process, I ended up building a decent library of sounds. The background music for most of the video is from a playlist that someone posted in the subreddit. Also, thanks for the feedback on the pacing. I think I might need to work on my camera-presence a bit more haha. The videos on your channel are also really well made. Hit me up if you'd ever like to trade ideas or tips :)
me clicking: nice topic. Seems like big channel. me watching: Nicely done, nice explained feels like big channel but in other side feel like small creator me after video giving thumb up and checking subscribes: what? 156? So small? Nice done keep the good work
As someone who's learning this style of editing completely from scratch, this video is actually super helpful.
Plus you learn something!
The editing is crazy, particularly the text effects, they're crazy ( in a good way). Oga Dami, please keep it up!
