Comparing Apple’s marketing to a magic trick and referencing the prestige was genius! ‘It’s not enough to make something disappear… you have to bring it back” Like magsafe and lots of other features they removed just to bring back. What they do is very close to a mass hypnotism
@@damiadeniji It could be that your background music is too loud and making it hard to understand what you are saying. So you might have 20000 people start to watch your video but most of the did not watch the video until the end. TH-cam only counts complete viewing of a video and not partial viewing. Background music on videos is a media gimmick. If I have to watch a video with useful information and it have music I never watch it to the end because most of the time the music just gets in the way and I lose interst before the video ends because the narrator has probably been repeating what they said about 2 minutes ago over and over. With the music drowning out most of the narration most people are glad to hear what they miss heard 2 minutes ago while most people just find another video on the same topic that has no music competing with the narration.

Reasons why apple sucks 1. Preventing software downgrades for iphones when older ipsws/ios are no longer signed in on Itunes 2. Remotely disabling and bootlooping iphones on older ios forcing them to update and erase their phones. 3. Preventing newer backups from being restored on previous macos/ios versions. 4. Making Photos Libraries incompatible on different macos to force people to buy icloud to transfer their photos libraries to different macos. 5. Disabling older working versions of applications that use internet, then make newer versions only be compatible with latest versions of macos/ios to force users to update.
I bought a iPhone 14 Pro recently and it wasn’t because of luxury or “the wave” I just thought after a long run on android why not try something new. And I think it’s pretty good it isn’t anything major in my life. It’s not about any company it’s about knowing your limits and making good financial decisions
I agree I bought a 15PM recently for the same reason. Nothing wrong with buying Apple if you can pay for it in cash but the problem is poor people financing them pretending to be rich
Moved from Samsung to Apple as well. I was surprised by the stability of the iOS, compatibility and more than ever, the longer life of battery. The previous S22 ultra felt like 50% capacity after 1 year and a half, yet people tell me I chose it just because I want to be a snob, extremes are bad for each side people, brain washing goes both ways

This video is based. The delivery, structure and deep insights into the topic and presentation is exceptional. As a long time Android head ,I love my freedom way too much tho, so I don't think apple will ever get me. The inconvenience and restrictions when using apple products is just too crazy for me to want to go through.

There is nothing to say about this video except how brilliant it is. everything from the flow to the structure to the topic and the fact you fully understand your biases towards keeping the apple products and try to minimise it. Wow. Fantastic video i am 100% subscribing and will love to see any more content you make if the quality remains this high.
Congratulations, you discovered the “Johnny Harris” recipe. This is hands down one of the best “documentary” style videos I have seen in a long time. I am getting so tired of the typical boring voiceover videos with random stock footage cut together for the sake of having a video, it’s the one reason I primarily only watch Johnny Harris. You, my friend, have captured that recipe. Right from the first opening sequence, I knew this video was going to be different, and you did not disappoint. I was hooked from the first moment until the very end. Great job!! You got a like and subscribe from me!
Thank you for your kind words and thank you for the sub :) Johnny Harris is definitely one of my favorite TH-cam atm. His video style is amazing, and I’ve definitely taken a lot of influence from it whilst trying to add my own style. The only caveat is that it takes a lot of time to make videos like this, especially when one doesn’t have a team, but I’m still enjoying the process.
Thank you Dami! Love what you share here...humans (most of us) are more concerned in tech but they are totally forgetting to grow themselves as person, professional, emotional, spiritual.
Get a life dude. Apple doesn't monopolize a single product market. They don't make money selling your data, or by flashing ads at you. Their products are objectively superior to the competition with consistently high ratings by every consumer reporting agency. Apple makes money the old fashioned way: they earn it by making products worth paying a premium for.
This was such a well-made and edited video. You really went into critical, thinking, and made every talking point to easy to understand, and brought out deep emotions.
Things stop being so deep about phones when you just don't care. they say that apple users are brainwashed and can't escape the ecosystem, that they're trapped in a walled garden, when in reality it's just a tool and your life shouldn't revolve around a brand or product. Just use the phone for what you need and start focusing on what matters, not that hard.
Exactly. I stopped using my phone at all for a couple months as an experiment in high school. Never really started using it again after that. It just seemed so pointless. It’s just a tool. Now all those tech TH-camrs you can watch, it all seems laughable now: “the question is if you need the 120hz display of the pro? Me personally I do” - yeah for what? Taking pictures of your wife? Seriously people tech isn’t that deep, it’s just a tool. Same goes for cars and other stuff. If it’s fun, sure buy it, but don’t go think over every detail.
This channel is primed to grow. Talented videographer at work. Was this made with Apple devices? Interesting perspective, as someone who started with Basic, Dos and now uses Linux, this is the first time I understood who Apple users are so loyal to the company.
Hi :) I’m glad you like the video. Yes, I used a MacBook to edit this video. I’d love to use a Windows laptop someday but I’m kinda stuck with Apple, mainly because of iCloud.

this video is extremely well made! i was super shocked when you (accurately!) started talking about cognitive biases as i had literally just learned about them in my psychology class a few days ago. good stuff! please keep them coming :)
Wow before I looked at sub count and the views I thought this was made by really popular channel , this is a very well made video and you definitely deserve more than this
Blown away by this video mate. You make some highly educated and articulate observations. It makes me realise how lucky I am not to have bitten that poison apple.
I am a recovering upgrade addict. I used to update yearly, try every phone or most models of the phone and then sell them. I’ve had my current phone for a year and that’s the longest I’ve gone with a phone in several years. Trying to decide if I want and iPad now or wait on it. In truth, I don’t really need anything else. What a great video that really puts it into perspective. Thank you.
I've been wondering whether to go all in on apple products or not, and this was my main consideration not to - getting locked into the ecosystem for good and ill. I'm wondering now, if it may serve me better to get a Samsung phone & tablet, and a strong pc desktop... but that multi-device integration definitely has its advantages. I've always been an android boy, with the exception of laptops, with my 2011 MacBook pro still serving me. The final aspect - there is a major inability to use a load of 3rd party apps, which really kills the vibe.
I was a kid during the late 60s and 70s. I got my drivers license at 16 in 1978. Video stuff was done mostly at arcades unless you had Atari at home. There was not anything like smartphones that were affecting you as you and your brain where developing into adult hood. TV was the closest thing for my generation growing up. So we spent a lot more time outside playing with other children running, riding bikes, throwing balls and talking to each other. I am not going to make a judgement but I will tell you this. People 30yrs old or so compared to people 50 years old are much different in so many ways it is hard to believe. I am not talking about the age or generation difference that has always been present, I am talking about real differences in communication, though patterns and social chemistry between humans. One quick example is when working I am often asked to explain or show how a tool is used or how to do a manual task. If the person is under 30 or 35 years old(the younger, the more noticeable), After a few sentences or moments of instruction I see the person drifting off and eventually looking at their phone. Zero attention span and would rather socialize with their device than other people. It is like ADHD is a normal personal characteristic in people today. Technology has changed the Human Being.
This is a video I would expect from a channel with a million or more subs, and you have completely blown me away with your effort put in. Please keep doing what you're doing!
I'm so sorry that so many people comment about how amazing your video is. Don't get me wrong, it's good, but it was so good it even overshadowed the topic and I find that many people don't even mention your subject in the comments. Meaning, if your video was an act by a magician (let's use your own metaphor here) it would have failed because people are talking more about the tricks, stings and secret motions than about the end result. Now, about the topic at hand because I won't be one of these people commenting about your editing skills instead of Apple: it's clear that the most devout Apple-sims are basically cult-members. They claim Apple is better without knowing the rest of the tech industry (like religious bigots tend to do), they don't know much about how technology work (Steve Jobs loved the word "Magic" -hint, hint- for a reason... don't look under the hood, kids, our laptops are powered my fairy dust) and won't even try something different. And as for devout Apple cultists: You DO have a choice. Everything Apple does exists somewhere else. There's nothing special about this one tech company (it's just one tech company after all). They didn't invent smartphones, the graphics interface, the mouse or touch-screens, even if they like to pretend they did. Try the competition, what do you have to lose? Also, have you noticed that people who are MORE tech-savvy tend to use Apple products LESS? What does that tell you?
Unfortunately this is lost on most people. I always roll my eyes whenever someone says(this video as well) that apple focuses on simplicity. There's so many examples of apple chosing the most frustrating implementation of a feature just so it only works within its walled garden (Bluetooth for file transfer, access to a file system, data sharing between apps, etc.), you necessarily have to be ignorant of the alternatives to think that Apple's way is the simplest way.
Bro this video is one of THE best I‘ve ever seen. I‘m a big Apple fanboy fs and I‘ll still continue using Apple products, but my brand loyalty and even dependency have been a concern of mine for a while now, especially when I catch myself defending Apple even when I‘m objectively wrong in certain regards. The algorithm really did a good job serving me this video in my feed. You definitely deserve to gain more followers on your channel so more people get to enjoy your videos. Keep up the work, because this is some high-quality content desperately needed in our consumerist society. Already forwarded the link to a friend of mine who I‘m sure is gonna enjoy it like I did👍🏻
This video is brilliant and I love apple products, after you experience the ecosystem it's tough to replicate that with another tech. Also always good to learn more about WHY you love something so much. Thank you for making more self aware about my relationship with Apple. Bravo Dami, can't wait to see the next one.
Thank you for understanding my feelings in this video XD. A few comments think this is an anti-Apple video, but, personally, by the time I finished making the video, I was more in awe than disgusted.
@@damiadeniji Yeah i didn't get any anti-apple vibes, what i saw was a fan that really enjoyed a product and wanted to dig deeper and understand the WHY behind that love. Keep up the great work Dami 💪
@Benjamin Jagun this is your biased ego talking, billions of people can get by without using apple. You may be brainwashed and that’s ok, It’s all subjective though
I experienced a moment of personal insight while watching this very good video. When I was a kid, my parents got involved with a couple of brands of religion which I now see as cultish, and I was sent to a church school for several years. That immersion in religion and my exposure to True Believers during the formative years of my life left me with an unshakable conviction that all religions are delusional belief systems, and an acutely sensitive BS detector. This is why I've always felt a gut-level aversion to Apple.
This is crazy good. I love the comparisons you draw to other things, like ancestors, because when you really think about it, it makes a lot more sense than just saying "it's stupid"
I went trough this when I went from MS Windows eco-system to Linux. All the suden all the software I was used to had to be replaced by the linux equivalents. I got back and forth during many years, until one day I commited to Linux and never got back to windows. Only now seeing your explanation I realised why the transiction was so dificult! Thanks for your work!
Amazing video! Market psychology is an interesting topic, and your take on and presentation of it are top class. Wish you all the best, I'll keep watching. Like others have already stated; you deserve a lot more subs and views, and I think they're headed your way.
Wow, this was truly outstanding! Lucky for me, I picked up in 1996, my first Apple product an All-in-One 5400 desktop computer. Two years later, I woke-up quickly to Steve Job's and Apple's game with their introduction of the colorful CRT iMac computer. Which, to myself appeared to be a down-grade from my tan colored desktop system yet, the world went crazy .... and the rest is history. So, I never joined the Apple ecosystem. Buy all my Apple desktop computers used, stopped buying their used laptops when they removed the DVD super-drive, buy only their basic budget iPad's that are models from last year, never owned an iPod, never owned an Apple watch, never owned an iPhone, do not have an iCloud account, and do not subscribe to Apple music, Apple TV, etc. (smile...smile).
I just left Apple for Android and I don’t regret it at all…. It feels nice to be free from being locked down to a Device I can buy what I want when I want without needing to use Apple Pay or using Subscriptions services with my Phone Number from my carrier instead of tied to using Apple Pay…. The Multitasking is so much better… I love doing 3 things at once instead of 1 or 2 at a time! Never again Apple! Only thing i have left is my iPad Pro, which in November will be traded in for an Android Tablet as well! Great video Mate!
The idea or thing that Apple brings back is the conversation of Apple products and its users. It bring back the simplicity of being the centerpiece. The spoken about.
A little over a year ago, my current phone was going to go outdated because 3G was going to be switched off for the rise of 5G. As a solution to this my dad really wanted me to buy either his or my moms iPhone. I told him no... He brought up counter points to it saying "You'll love this phone", "it would work great for your TH-cam channel", "You don't need a SD card, you got apple cloud with unlimited data", "You'll be more secure on this phone than you would any other phone, I'd rather have Apple handle my data", and other dumb arguments like that. But with the fact that mom agreed and one of my older sisters agreed with this whom both use iPhones, I knew what I was getting into if I did buy that phone. After leaving 2 churches with cult like mentalities, I was not going to dive into a third. That's what Apple is, not a company, but the leader in one of the worst religions I've ever seen. There is no way, I'm going to join and then hastily ditch a third cult.
IDK man... here in Latin America, fandroids act that way. In fact, none of my classmates who use iPhones ever joked on us (maybe because we are equally poor). They even make jokes about how their phone was a _poor choice_ . But I get you. It isn't nice to own a product when there's lots of users who own the same product praising it.
@@VoidPaul97 exactly, i never was apple fan, got my first ipad as it was the best deal, have ipad for around 4 years, works like new, got iphone, going second year, works like new (androids lagged all the time for me), now i was looking for a laptop for studies, got macbook, because battery life is best in macbooks and speed is great too. So why not choose apple when it really does just work, i would choose any other brand if it just worked. (have windows quite powerfull laptop, great but its very heavy and battery doesnt last at all.... gotta carry a charger too, while my macbook charges with regular phone charger)
12:00, check the Samsung ecosystem, it performs equally as well as Apple's ecosystem does. Myself, after twenty-two plus years of Apple everything, Apple anything, Apple only, and eleven years iPhone only, I switched to Samsung and Windows. There is an entire world out there, it is a breath of fresh air not being within their Walled Garden. After three years away from Apple products, there is nothing within Apple I miss.
This is a masterpiece. Every bit of the video from information, visuals, background score, editing. Everything.! Definitely sharing this. 👍 I’m sure your channel is going to blow up soon.
It was always funny to me how they brag about safety when you literally can't install external apps. Like, I'm gonna be safer if I stay all day in bed too.
External apps can have viruses and Apple checks every app that comes through the App Store. External apps don’t come through the App Store, so they could ruin your phone, which makes Apple look bad.
Guess I am brainwashed, I love my Apple products. Say what you want, but they have superior hardware to most Android products, and a longer life cycle for updates. That means I can keep my Apple product for much longer than I could an Android device.
Both Google and Samsung promise 7 years of updates and if you want to talk hardware, just one look at what Chinese phone brands are doing will debunk that thought train
Being in the Apple ecosystem is a bit like being in a gilded dictatorship: things generally are nice and pretty...but you have to follow the rules and you do not get to make the rules. A "benevolent" Big Brother will decide what you can and cannot do. While the Apple experience is often nice and polished, it is amazing how much abuse Apple users will put up with to get the experience, and Apple knows it. Apple removed the venerable 3.5mm headphone jack and Apple users just came back for more. They cannot say no.
Just as if the other companies don’t have their walled gardens and don’t softly abuse their customers, as if they’re benevolent companies instead of capitalists.
Great edit! You really put this together quite nicely. The walled garden, that makes it so massively inconvenient for you to leave Apple, is pretty much the reason why I never became a fan of it.
Dude, I'm giving this video a thumbs up. I do agree with you. HOWEVER...I do love Apple and their simplicity. I am in that ecosystem. And everyone who knows me knows how much I love Apple. But I also don't upgrade my phone every year. I also have a 2017 MacBook Pro and am absolutely not interested upgrading it ever (well until it completely fails). I see Apple devices as just tools that work out of the box and if looked after and maintained, hardly ever fail. And I think this is why people lean toward Apple. I also have a Power PC G3 and PowerBook back at college when NO ONE had a Mac. Now it seems everyone has one. I wanted to be different. How times have changed. I guess people buy them on credit these days. I had to say up all my money as a teenager haha!
Amazing vid.Very good quality, clear explaining. I myself, not falling in their target audience since I despise the lack of freedom in doing what I want with my device and the bang for buck performance ratio, have as primary feeling frustration and as final relief when I can stop using it.But i know that I'm not their target audience. In europe they will by the way NEED to go to usb-c, mandated by european union, to diminish the electronics waste.
this hit hard for me to be honest, i am one of those people who just will love anything with an apple logo on it, for better or for worse. though i will obviously not stop loving apple products, it makes me more aware of what i’m falling into.
I assumed this to be a popular channel by seeing the quality of the video... But when i looked at the subscribers count and views... I was shook 🤯 you really really deserve more... Hope you achieve your goal soon ❤keep making great content ❤❤❤❤
I’m sure people who are in high school and superficial people think like this. As a medical professional, I believe that Apple products work very well together. Another thing is, I’m still using the 1st generation air pods, 2017 MacBook, and an iPhone 12- point is, their devices last many years more than their PC counterparts. Built way better.
Just I minor tip, add "end screens" to your videos. It is one of the most crucial elements of promotion on youtube. Read about them, and place about 15-20sec before the end of the video. One should be recommended and one -- your last video. It is really important, and it works much better than calling to check your other videos. If people will watch more than one of your videos in a raw, they will get your others in recommended, and if they click in recommended your video will get the most possible boost on youtube.
6:33 You can also see this effect in movies, TV shows, etc. The protagonists almost always has an iphone, whereas the antagonist almost always has an android
My iPhone 6s is still receiving security updates in 2023, the phone is seven years old. Send me a link to another branded phone that does that and I’ll buy it.
I used to own both a Galaxy s10 and an iphone 12 mini (which had many broken features). i chose to use the iphone 12 mini for an unknown reason despite its flaws and inferiority to the S10 (in terms of speed, battery, camera, etc). I had always been an android user, and the 12 mini was the first apple product i owned myself. Despite the s10 being better in pretty much every single way, it was so difficult and took so long for me to finally snap out of the mental captivity of the iPhone.
I agree that it’s incredibly difficult to leave the apple ecosystem once you’re in it. I only have two main apple devices, an iPhone 13 mini and a 2nd Gen iPad pro, and I used to use an iMac as a family computer until I built my own Windows PC in 2019. I’m in a lucky position where I could lean for or against using apple when I upgrade without too much of a learning curve, since I have devices in both camps. But someone who’s never touched something that wasn’t an apple product would find it not only difficult to switch, but incredibly expensive too. And that doesn’t even touch on people needing to relearn how to do and create things in a different software, since apps like iMovie are apple exclusive.
Apple using their marketing strategy similar to Nike's marketing strategy to get customer addicted to their brand. Nike is the world no 1 highest profits clothing company!
Brilliant video, it's nice to see an apple user that actually understands the Apple Trap and their psychological warfare. They used to use scare tactics to sell their products, claiming you are not secure unless you have an apple. Now they sell "convenience" that they claim only they have. In reality Android, Linux, and Windows are just as convenient with all the "premium features" apple claims you can only get through them, the difference is you cam actually do even more with Those other platforms. Apple might do all that stuff like air drops right out of the box, while other platforms need to be set up, but there is nothing apple can do that other devices cant.can't. Getting out of the Apple Trap is just a choice you CAN make, and after a few days if learning how to do things for yourself, you'll have all the features of apple products without any of the restrictions.
Truly great video, as an Apple user I understand and embody most, if not all, topics, issues and characteristics discussed. The discussion made me reflect on how pointless having the newest iPhone truly is. Yet, I still log on to the keynote every September and get up early the next Friday to make sure my preorder goes through. The happiness curve is erratic, it starts at the bottom, then rises as I watch the keynote, culminates when I press “purchase” and then plummets back down to the bottom a week after opening the box. I know this yet I don’t change my ways. It’s sad, yet fascinating. Please keep up the great work and make other videos.
You know that's called a mental illness right. You don't need to upgrade every year. What's new just a slight improvement in the camera? And I'm a apple user myself
Hi Dami, this is an excellent video. I particularly liked how you worked in clips from The Prestige (fabulous movie) to make your points. You made some very valid points and have given me some food for thought - will be picking up a copy of that book you recommend as well. Ps, can't believe that guy actually sold his kidney for an iphone and ipad!
the availability heuristic seems really close to how so is currently being described. it seems humans will breed their traits into anything they create. AI has biases based on who programmed it or which data sets it’s using. One AI associated rulers with cancer in a similar way to how people associate success with what items a person owns vs talent or skills
I have Apple products, Samsung products, a chromebook etc. What I don't have are friends that would ever think that using and owning a certain brand of tech, clothes or whatever would make you look better and more successful. Or that using some other brand would make you look poor.
Sure. I remember I was about to present my master’s in science thesis defense but my windows laptop entered in auto update mode. Imagine the horror. I swear I will never ever use a non Apple computer again… and I never did and I successfully presented the thesis defense, then a second MSc thesis and I’m about to deliver my PhD thesis on my 10 years old MacBook Pro mid 2012 laptop that still works flawlessly. Some of the hype comes from quality, and care for the user.
That was the best explaining video I’ve ever seen. Might have as well learned something more since I’m studying marketing as well. This video deserves millions of views
Thing is you don't have to leave the Apple ecosystem all at once. You could keep your old iPhone for iMessage purposes but buy a different phone because you're sick of lightning or lack of repairability or whatever.... These are proprietary limitations which ultimately means apple products don't have widespread compatibility. Like the reason, people from Android and Apple can't have reasonable messaging between each other is Apple's fault. They refused to adopt RCS. It makes things worse for their own customers because now every time you talk to one of the 80% of the global population that uses Android, you're using, dated and insecure SMS technology.
6:10 that’s called advertising and apple good at it 😂😂😂 it’s simple, why you make whole video about this and you call it brainwashing it’s advertising 😂😂😂
For me I never got caught by Apple..I will always be android all the way but I do enjoy Apple products. My first computer was the bubble IMac I got to do my Graphics homework on and I used it for a long time. I have a Mac, AirPods, iPad, old iPhone I bought just for entertainment at work and my son has a iPad. I could enjoy Apple products without caring about the ecosystem… Great video!
Its the reverse for me i use apple mostly but i respect some of the new android products. But 90 % of the video does not apply in my case, apple products SHOULDNT BE a luxury item, they are an accessory to work on or at least this is what it should be. It is the people who ascosciate the high price with luxury and apple plays into it because they will make more money. Ultimately i only bought 2 of my apple imacs to use final cut pro and have a kickass laptop on the go that can render and work with 4k Raw footage. Ultimately i only bought the ipad to edit in photoshop with the apple pencil which is far better than other alternatives because it has a lot more sensors that can mimic a real pencil . These are logical things for my work to buy. If another brand makes a better tablet with a better pencil i would buy that. The video acts like we are in a mousetrap which is the case for 20 year olds who just wants to show up with the “new best thing “. These devices are made for work, to edit on them , render on them . People who are buying these for looks and showing off are the problem not the brand. These people dosent even use 90% of the pro features because THEY DONT KNOW HOW.
I was so obsessed with iphone b4 i got my hand on one..but after trying one..i realised it is more of a marketing strategy..recruiting one into their world and when ur in..it's hard to leave..but 4 me...i sold my iPhone after 4 months because i got sick n tired of restrictions..I've never desired one again...
I recently bought my first iPhone ever but I’m not a fanboy, I just like watching videos texting or calling but I notice there are so many people obsessed with the brand and now they treat me differently because I have one so dumb
The problem is so too many people think we only buy Apple products for a status symbol. That’s not true and not everyone buys an iPhone for the status symbol. I’m an iPhone user because of personal preference. I made an educated decision based on my experience using both Android and Apple phones and I chose iPhone due to its simplicity and familiarity of using their products for years. I am not a sheeple, I just use products I know are tried and tested and I am familiar with.
I have Apple device ever since I got my first phone. Like I don’t want to leave in this ecosystem that Apple has. It’s like they satisfy my needs in one's phone. Only the person who makes the decision can control it, so balance is important.
I don't buy Apple products because of any of these reasons. I buy apple stuff because people who fall for all of these things will buy it from me after 2-3 years for a good resale value. I also am selective about what I get. I don't have an iPhone, I have a pixel, but I have a MacBook and AirPods.
Everything about "feeling a spiritual connection" to apple devices, I did when I was a kid. I grew up with my dad's collection of Apple Devices, ever since the iPod 4. But the more I grew up, the more I mature and realize what apple really is nowadays. I love iPhones, I love MacBooks, I love iPads and iPods and the Apple TV, but I hate iOS, macOS but still like tvOS. Apple's ecosystem is really locked down and doesn't let their users do whatever they want, that's why I prefer Android and Windows/Linux.
Every experience I've ever had with an apple product was bad. When I was a kid and I had to use one of those computers that were built to be luxurious, it was just so bad navigating that I hated it. Same exact thing happened with the phone. I couldn't get my head around why anyone would be interested in such an inferior product that needs you to baby at a certain way. Never looked back
Just wanted to say, this was an amazing piece of content. The thought out structure and precise execution of the three different parts was absolutely spot on. This video also reminded me on why I never want to get invested in a specific eco system. I don’t have much devices, but I’ve got an iPhone 14 Pro Max, AirPods and a Lenovo laptop. In my opinion we need balance. Just like the light and darkness. You can’t go all out in one thing. There needs to be balance, and with balance, you get the freedom to change it up, whereas if all your devices are Apple, or Samsung, it would be very costly to escape.
This is why i switched to iphone after 13 years of android smartphones but didnt change the way i see my devices. I dont own an ipad or a mac and even tho i like the product i bought from apple it still doesn't make me feel im bounded and cant go back to android anymore. Apple makes great devices but if you fall into their marketing trap you are going to be bound to them forever. When i used android smartphones i changed my devices every 3-4 years and thats what im still doing with my iphone. Who cares about AI and capture button as my phone is still giving me everything i need from it.
Comparing Apple’s marketing to a magic trick and referencing the prestige was genius!
‘It’s not enough to make something disappear… you have to bring it back”
Like magsafe and lots of other features they removed just to bring back. What they do is very close to a mass hypnotism
My absolute favorite movie
they brought it back because people were angry
now bring back the headphone jack and the charger in the box
But the rest two are quite a bad analogy, pledge and turn.
"mass hypnotism" 😭 u can't be forreal

Reasons why apple sucks
1. Preventing software downgrades for iphones when older ipsws/ios are no longer signed in on Itunes

Exactly bro

Keep up the good work man. You had me for 18 mins and 28 seconds of my life. I’m looking forward to seeing you and your channel succeed.

This is really well made! I appreciate how you have stayed unbiased and bring forth the psychological issues of being faithful to conglomerates.

You're worse than the crook who left the bag but walked off with the Apple sticker.
never owned an apple product. i have no reason to. i owe no brand blind loyalty.
I look for what suits my needs and fits my budget.

I 100% agree with you, I remember back when I bought iPhone 6 , i easily got hooked and I haven’t used any other phone since then.
Especially laptops from other companies are very bad compared to a Macbook.
How often do you upgrade?
Your analysis is awesome. You rock, man. Subbed! You really have a great talent for stories and word use.
Why does Apple face criticism for things like the headphone Jack, but Samsung doesn’t? These “phone wars” never make sense to me
A Golden prison
Just as if the other companies don’t have their walled gardens and don’t softly abuse their customers, as if they’re benevolent companies instead of capitalists.
Apple makes it an art form of trapping their customers in their controlled environment.
Yeah that’s wild when you put it that way
Great edit! You really put this together quite nicely.
The walled garden, that makes it so massively inconvenient for you to leave Apple, is pretty much the reason why I never became a fan of it.
The editing in this video is outstanding, bro went all out
Dude, I'm giving this video a thumbs up.
Very eye opening for a person like me who is just moving to Apple. Great video!

Bro please don't forget me because one day you will be a great youtuber
6:33 You can also see this effect in movies, TV shows, etc. The protagonists almost always has an iphone, whereas the antagonist almost always has an android
My iPhone 6s is still receiving security updates in 2023, the phone is seven years old.
Send me a link to another branded phone that does that and I’ll buy it.
There isnt. And the creator of this video isnt an Apple hater, he is a lover. Trying to find out why he loven it so much
I also have the iPhone 6s but I need to buy another one because I have the 16gb model.
Had a iPhone in 2012 never again I remembered I had to jail break it to do the things I wanted to on my device
Watching this on my MacBook that is connected to my AirPods while my iPhone is charging next to me felt kinda weird to be honest lol
Thank you so much for your kind words :) I'm glad you liked the video. I also found the story about the kidney pretty wild when I first read it haha.
I can't believe that apple uses that kind of Brainwashing and physchological tricks. A very good video. Thank you. You deserved a sub.
the availability heuristic seems really close to how so is currently being described. it seems humans will breed their traits into anything they create.
AI has biases based on who programmed it or which data sets it’s using. One AI associated rulers with cancer in a similar way to how people associate success with what items a person owns vs talent or skills
That’s a really interesting point. Thanks for sharing :)
Even if iPhones were given away for free, I would still buy an Android phone with my money...
I would sell the iPhone to buy two high end Androids, or a gaming laptop. Or a high end Android with a gaming laptop. Or two gaming laptops 😂
of course you would
i dont trust any camera on a phone that's not an iPhone 😢
We don't care😂
@@inhuman-specimen3820really ? I just got a 14 pro max 3 days ago and I’m coming from a lifelong android user and my galaxy s20 took better photos
Have you realised that this video is a part Apple's plan? If someone is talking about Apple 20mins, someone watching it... A big win win for Apple
Watching this while impatiently waiting for my first iPhone to arrive... I can't wait
And ftr, I use PC as my main system. I always wanted to build a gaming PC since college.
Agree. Apple haters are loving this video as it verifies their reverse (Apple) elitism as well.
I have Apple device ever since I got my first phone. Like I don’t want to leave in this ecosystem that Apple has. It’s like they satisfy my needs in one's phone. Only the person who makes the decision can control it, so balance is important.
Its not that you dont want to leave apple , apple wont allow you.
This is a well made video. Well done bro! Your channel is about to blow up!
I honestly expected your channel to have much much more subscribers after looking at the quality of the video
Agree
The production quality of this video is absolutely insane
The editing style is absolute theraphy, so smooth and well made
This is why i switched to iphone after 13 years of android smartphones but didnt change the way i see my devices.
This was a great video but I just wanted to add, if you were determined enough, you could convert a lightning port iPhone into a type c iPhone
