The sad part is, no one looked into him before pulling Ghost off the radio. They also didn’t tell people afterwards that there were ten times more people requesting it than saying Tom was “controversial”. I see Tom pointing out contradictions, I don’t see them as political…..the only ones I see that are “political” are when he’s calling out the govmt by name…..but I’ve never seen him support one side or the other. I think he’s like me in that we see the double standards, and acknowledge that THEY ARE DOUBLE STANDARDS, but he doesn’t take a political side. Neither will I. I think the part people mix up is that there are social issues that have been MADE into political talking points. The issues aren’t political though, they are societal. And rappers especially have the task of speaking on social issues going on around them. That’s how hip hop started, speaking on culture and society. Now if a rapper does his job…..he’s “controversial”. Before it was what they did normally, they were respected for calling it out.
