I think the fact that he isn’t playing this makes the experience worse for him. It’s like he’s strapped to a chair with his eyes taped open while he has to watch Jon play through what’s basically the whole game over the course of four years. If Emile were the one playing at least there’s some gameplay elements as well as the Enigmansion to sort of keep him distracted.

You know you really gotta feel for Emile after the story of the circumstances he first played Sticker Star under, the poor guy just wanted something to cheer him up during a not so good set of circumstances he had but he never got it. Instead he just got a game that had some... questionable decisions, most of which really seem to hamper the experience from what I've seen. At least Emile still has Xenoblade.

Best case scenario they grit their teeth and try it all over again, preferably without rebuying all those expensive stickers or going back to previous worlds...you just can't win here
Here's something neat that they did with the things, so you can at least judge how much album room you need. If you look at the color of each thing on the menu, yellow means the sticker will be 1x1, blue means 1.5x1.5, and pink means 2x2. Also, mashing A when running from a fight is a placebo tactic. Whether you run from a fight or not is completely up to RNGesus.
Honestly I kind of just want Chugga to release a loooong, giant Mauler sized review of Paper Mario Sticker Star, maybe even do it like he does and just show everything wrong about the game objectively. Feel it would be amazing.
One thing emile forgot to mention about luigi is that theres a newpaper in the first house in decalburg. This wasnt here before you got luigi... And more enteries are added everytime you get him. (Plus they go in order, so dont worry if you missed them.) ...but it actually justs talks very dramatic theme like an actuall newspaper. (With music too!)
I noticed the quality almost immediately. My brother got paper Mario 64 on virtual console. I played it because I had nothing else to play and I was mind blown by the quality of the game. I was 12 then and an adult now. Got ttyd for an obscene price and enjoyed it immensely too. Those two games are infinitely more special and fun than SS
I played through the game the first time and thought maybe I just missed something and started it over. I got to the first Kamek fight in the game on my second playthrough when I realized this game just isn't fun.
Same thing for me. 2nd time playing this game, I couldn’t even finish until the very end. So I highly applaud Emile and Jon being able to 100% this game

In spite of everything wrong with sticker star, the whole rube goldberg contraption bit with the scenery was amazing.
The aesthetics of the game are AMAZING, both visuals and music, and that’s pretty much the only good thing to come out of it

I beat all the bosses in this game without using their weaknesses and I remember fighting the World 3 boss for over two hours
