Man, it's such a shame Jon wasn't hooked on this series. I've always considered the first Pikmin game to be the worst.
I mean, didn't Jon even say that he was well aware that later games controlled better than this and that he wouldn't judge them by this?
It's entirely the Wii port's fault.
It's a shame but not unexpected. it has everything jon doesn't like. short campaign, basic controls and explorations, found glitch galore that I and many never had found, Camara controls, unreliable ai and the best controls scheme is motion controls which he despises

Ha, that video description is surprisingly apt for the nature of this LP. Esteban was a real TROOPER in this LP, and so was the Runaway Guy who had never played a Pikmin game start to finish before this. Get ready for funnies, Tim being cute, Emile laughing and cringing as he remembers his Pikmin LP, and Jon raging at Wollywogs, Fiery Blowhogs, and anything that is NOT Emile for once (mostly).

From what I remember watching Masae's romp through the game, I remember this Nova Blaster being one of only 5 (!) optional parts.
And these days, being in my Mega Man phase, the *Nova* Blaster's amazing *destructive* capabilities that can blow through *stars* kind of reminds me of a certain midquel installment for the Game Boy that involved aliens and the final boss refreshingly _wasn't_ Wily...

The mass genocide from that one bulborb on day 5 is why I don’t bum rush in Pikmin 1 anymore. The invincibility that they get from their attack animation makes it too risky

I find it funny Emile worries about saying something due to his opinion changing in videos being why he's not keen on redux let's plays, yet he's had the changing opinion happen before. His opinion of Altaria changing between Crystal and Emerald.
