We've never tried lighting yet But we've done 2 Body's like this one with sky blue & black that is the Closest we've came to doing lightning & that's my 2 Is favorite colors we will give lighting a go

I don't remember how long it takes for the red paint to dry and yes the paint is meant for RC bodys you can buy from any hobby shop or online
