How To Fix LS3 Camaro Service Stabilitrak- P0202, P0302 Fuel Injector Change

- My car was running rough and I got a Service Stabilitrak error on the dash. After using my tuner, I got the codes P0202 and P0302. To diagnose the issue I checked the spark plug, wiring connections, and fuel injector. Ultimately, it was the injector.
Tools needed:
-10 mm deep socket
-Socket extension
-Spark plug socket
-Flat head screwdriver
-Towel

Nice work!! These are some of the best engines GM has ever made. Misfires and injector issues cause the Stabilitrak errors because the engine cuts power when $#!t gets real.

Thanks for thjs video. Having the same codes on my 2011 Caprice PPV with a L77 engine (6.0l). Just waiting for the replacement injector to come so I can swap it out!

Having this issue with my 5th Gen. Hearing a tapping noise coming from the driver side of the motor. Changed spark plugs and wires. Gonna check the injectors next and hopefully that eliminates this stabiltrak warning. Car jolts when making a hit from low rpm also
I hope this works out for you. I didn’t think I’d be able to hear the injectors with the screw driver but it really worked. Mine would buck and idle and felt very sluggish when accelerating.
@@MickeyBroadway i have a 2013 ss i have basicaly put every new from the pistons up i had the car dynoed it came back with 522 rwhp been driven the car it was running real good had the car out all day it ran good i come home took a shower was going to go somewhere got in the car it started up then cut right off its been doing it now for 2 weeks i have been replacing pretty much alot of stuff and i just cant figure it out does anyone have any suggestions
@@josephsullivan5650 I haven't delt with this issue before but we've gotta get that beast on the road. Check to see if it runs without the MAF sensor (it might need cleaning), Doesn't sound like a battery issue but it doesn't hurt to check. I'd also check fuel pressure. Keep me updated.
@@MickeyBroadway man i put new battery fuel pump map sensor crank sensor cam sensor i have a mechanic comeing over saturday to hook his computer to it just hopeing can tell me something have you heard anything about the way the security system works
@Joseph Sullivan My dads 2012 2500HD has a weird security defect that when he fills the gas tank up completely all the anti-theft systems kick on. That’s the only thing I’ve heard. I’m not sure what fuses or relays you should check but it never hurts to look at those. Hopefully your mechanic will get some codes to help you narrow down the issue.
My 15 SS is in the shop now waiting for a new injector. I had the same exact stabilitrack and check engine codes.

ive heard that even OEM injectors need repromgraning when replacing them?

I overhauled my stock L99 engine heads, valves are now in excellent condition like new, and tight enough. Replaced springs, valve steam rubbers, pushrods, rockers , spark plugs , cleaned valve lifters and injectors (no collapsed lifters on 100K mileage). Replaced all timing components and VVT along with camshaft sensor and magnet. Service Stabilitrak msg is still comes on during cranking along with a rough idle and a clicking noise. Valve lifters were found good but several of them had a scratches on the rollers. Oil pump is new, 50 psi on cruising and 26-29 psi on hot idle. Any suggestions ?? No fault codes
Can you pin down where the clicking is coming from?
I have a 2014 camaro SS, stabilitrak, and P0301, changed plugs, spark plug wires, and coil, the wiring was fine, so I’m assuming it would be the fuel injector. Not sure though!

My 2018 doing this😩 long start sometimes , RPM starts out on 1 , engine shakes a little bit! Somebody from another forum said its the positive battery cable & crank sensor I’m wondering if we all have different problems from it

2011 ss and I have the same lights on but car doesn’t have any problems starting and runs really good but the lights came on after I unplugged my battery for 5 min and plugged it back in

I have a 2012 ss having the same problem as you had getting a p0171 and p0300 and sometimes p0301 changed 02 sensor spark plugs and wires even the purge valve still same issue pulled the #1 fuel injector looks dirty could this be it considering the p0301 and p0171? Oh and I changed the MAF sensor as well
Sorry for the late response. The p0300 and p0301 codes could be caused by bad injectors. Also be sure to check the coil packs for damage wires or cracked connector. I’m not sure but I feel like the p0171 code could be caused from bad injectors throwing off the air/fuel ratio. Have you figured it out yet?
Excuse me, before this code popped up, was there any noise or bangs clicks going on?
Mine did not have any noises. It started bucking at red lights with a massive decrease in power when driving.
my 2010 camaro ss jerks in 4th gear but the stabilitrak and check engine comes off and on so i don’t know how to check for a code
Sorry for the late response. If you haven’t fixed it already, check/clean the throttle body and MAFs. It might be an issue with the trans, but I’d try the easy stuff first.
I've switched out my Injectors got them turned, coil packs, spark wires and plugs, also cleaned out my throttle body and still get the issue

@@MickeyBroadway code pops up and then you feel the struggle around 75mph , but last night while going 80 on the highway engine power reduction kicked in. checked codes when i got home had throttle body circuit and other codes popping up switched battery and throttle body today. no codes at the moment runs alright tomorrow real test hitting the highway at 80mph

@@MickeyBroadway yeah they have , today i checked the injector again incase it got fried but all gives me a steady voltage read. i bought the wiring harness for the injectors see if its that and ill work my way back towards the computer. even though i have a gut feeling its the computer.

I changed it but no engine light showing but when i read the codes it have p0300 does the code will go away?
If the car is running correctly but you’re still getting the code it probably just needs the code cleared.

I've seen other guys that have had the same issue and the problem was the computer. Before the mechanic starts messing with the computer, I would check the spark plug and use a flat head screwdriver to listen for a fouled injector. Those two are cheap, easy to fix, and it only takes a second to test for them. If those are both good then I would have them work on getting a new computer. Hope that helped and doesn't cost too much.
My 2012 Camaro started shaking and loosing power and the Stability Track is on. I dont know how to fix. Do you fix cars? Can you fox mine 🙏
I hate that’s happening. Do you have a friend with DIY car knowledge? If so have them go thru my video and see if yours has the same problem mine did. If not, you might have to take it to a shop😕.
They told me I need my heads to be worked on. Changed plugs and coil pack, got a fuel induction service twice to eliminate carbon in my cylinder valve. Still the same problem, Should I just go ahead and pay the dealer the $$
If it was me, I would try the screw driver test in the video just to make sure no fuel injectors are fouled out. But you might have some head damage that needs fixing and for that I’d say either find a good shop or just head to the dealer. Just know it’s going to be $$$

Did you check the wiring? I’ve heard from a few people that it was their ECM. I hope that’s not the case.
