The pedal assist is instant but you will feel a greater difference and a higher top speed in the higher levels if you reset the top speed with the app it is set to 20 mph when you get it you can unlock it to 28 mph

Is there a significant lag between pedaling and the motor kicking in on pedal assist like with throttle only? I tried a Specialized Como and the pedal assist kicked on and off nearly instantly with the pedals, it was very natural feeling

I own one of these, pedal assist on pedals is instant, on throttle there is like a 1ish second lag.

whats the water resistance rating to this bike? can i ride it in rainy days to commute to work?
Yes, well I have my Aventon PACE 500.3 and it does just fine in the rain just make sure you get the little weather gaurd things and you’ll be fine I think all these bikes are like rated IP7
Look at those cables. Too confusing, they did a poor Job at the factory of cable management.
