Great video Padu. All my favorite routes in the San Diego backcountry. I have ridden out there with Kelly many times. You handled the sand coming out of Rodriguez Canyon like a champ.
Hi Padu. I ‘ e seen your previous video too. You improved a lot your skills. Since I would like to buy a DesertX what is your opinion about this motorbike? Compared to BMW GS it seems a lot more simple to ride, isn’t it. Why you didn’t install the protections?very beautiful places.regards. Luigi
Hi Luigi. Thank you for the comment. For me, the most fun is the improvement journey... realize one day that you are better than the day before.
I came from a Multi V4S, so a bigger bike. While the MV4S is plenty capable in the dirt, the DDX feels like a big dirt bike and inspires a lot more confidence in the dirt. The ergonomics are really amazing. I've tried a couple of different adventure bikes and not one comes close (at least to me) in terms of ergos while standing up. Being a Ducati, this bike looks like it wouldn't perform well on the asphalt, but IT DOES! Even with the MotoZ, it still gives me a lot of fun while riding the twisties between one dirt trail to the next.
The bad thing about being an earlier adopter is that aftermarkets take a while to arrive. Since this trip, I've installed crashbars and new knobby tires. There's a new video coming from LAB2V with the new configuration.
@@merloti Thanks for the explanation Padu. I’m going to get my DesertX on Saturday. Unfortunately here is winter time and I haven’t place like yours to go in this season. I’m planning to go to Spain so I will test on the asphalt since I have a lot of km to do.I will look at your new videos. Regards. Luigi

Which gps mount is that? The Ducati one?
Yes. I thought about other aftermarkets, but in my opinion this one looks the best and it's super sturdy.
