I enjoyed this video! I like seeing some of these when people aren't acting like pros, just being real fishermen. And I mean that as a compliment. Some may be better than others, but we keep learning. Great good fellas!

We keep learning indeed! One of my favorite things about youtube is other people asking "have you tried this...rod, reel, bait, etc." I love the back and forth helping each other out with what has worked. It's all about getting out and having a good time and hopefully catching some fish. I appreciate your comment and compliment. Take care brother.

Hey chuck, when you have your dead stick and running the d-frost are you hooking your live bait by the mouth, back or tail? Thanks for the content you do!

Thanks for the video!!! We are heading up to Dales on February 15, I see you have been there quite a few times. Any tips on what/how to pack and where did you get bait at? I know they dont provide it just wondering if theres bait in the area or bring it from home.

Either Steve's lucky bait or Outdoors again will have frozen Shinners and fat heads as well as rainbows or small suckers if you want something larger. although in February you might want to call up there to make sure what live bait they still have on hand. Each house has its own set of nonstick pots and Pan's including utensils so you don't need to bring anything like that. They also have paper plates and paper bowls. you can pretty much bring anything that you would normally want to cook on a stove top or oven. Definitely need to bring your own water. If you plan on watching movies bring your own DVDs although they will have a few there in a box. If you don't like Folgers bring your own coffee, they do have a coffee maker there. You'll want to bring a sleeping bag and pillow. if there is four of you and all the beds are down you won't have any holes to use rattle Riggs. If there's only three of you two holes will remain open so if you like to rattle reel through the night you can throw something down but you need to bring your own rattle reels. I hope that helps but if I didn't cover something feel free to ask me.

Thanks for the reply!! I will look up those bait shops and see what they have available. Thanks for the videos as well I think I have watched them all. Tight lines!!

@@ehansen30000 Thank you for watching! I also recommend trying the Tom's Tackle DFrost on your dead stick. It is a gold, pink and glow frostie like jig that you should be able to pick up at Steve's Lucky Bait. My buddy just got back from a two day stay at Dale's. They brought home their limit and caught 65 fish between three people. I hope you have a great time!

Good video. What dates were you actually fishing? We were up there last weekend (starting 1/17 at Arnesen's and had 2 good days and the second 2 were horrible)?
We have a reservation at Dale's next year but I'm not sure as I have a Garmin Panotpix that basically needs its own hole so I don't know how it would work in their houses with just the two cutouts per person.

That video was from last year the last weekend of January and we are up again right now. If you only had three guys then you could have the panoptix jigging in one hole and then having a dead stick on the other side of it but you would have to get up out of the chair to go get your dead stick. the holes on the side of the house with the heater would be the easiest to do that

We just got back and caught over a hundred and eleven fish between three guys in 3 days. No real big fish (20 inch was the largest) but the day house not too far from us coaght a 28 and 29 inch walleye. As far as the panoptix a friend of mine brought one up and just used it in his jigging hole and he said it wasn't a problem to get it out when he was catching a fish.

Fun fact: before it was called Dave’s, it was known as babblers resorts/ babblers road

I know that the first time we went up in 2015 Dale and Connie were renting space there to run the ice fishing out of. They lived on land just like we did out in the fish house. I believe they bought the resort the following year. They have really been doing a lot to the place.
