On this trip I was joined by good friends Ryan and Averie Bonin. We hoped to score the Buffalo Bay grand slam (Burbot, Northern Pike, Yellow Perch, and Walleye) Did we make it happen? Awesome, All Day Long!!! I loved taking my nephews ice fishing when they were kids, in fact introducing a kid to fishing and the outdoors in general is probably the best thing ever!!! I've been itching for a feed of Perch anyway, and you drag up two Lunkers!! Perch in Alberta rarely get that size, in fact I've been ice fishing since I was 11 or 12 and I'm 53 now and can remember a couple of fish from Buck and Gull Lakes in Alberta producing Perch of 1lb to 1.5lbs tops, most are 1/2 to 3/4lb fish. Looking forward to a good ice season here, I hope you're gearing up there,...and keep those videos coming Jay!!! Now I'm off to check out Avery's channel!!

Me and my dad have gone twice to idaho and we catch huge perch, almost all of them are over 2 lbs

Super fun place to fish have a camper there also u should try targeting big pike there biggest I caught there is 42 inches

@@JaySiemens u should try trolling for them in the summer or also sturgeon there’s a lot there! Last year my buddy got a 72 inch just with a lindy rig and there always jumping around on the sandbar
I do believe I fished a big ice fishing tournament there ???? I think , I was a huge one in the 90's

@@JaySiemens Definitely, I was at a stocker bookie pond last weekend and it had just froze over and had about an inch and a half of ice, it's been cold all week (-20 last night) so it should be safe by now.
