That was a Cisco if the mouth is facing up it’s a Cisco and if it’s facing down it’s a white fish because white fish eat off the bottom so there mouth faces down words
You should think about starting a series or even a mini series traveling around reviewing and trying out some of the best ice huts in the country! Would be super dope to see how tricked out some of them get 👍🏻

Lake Whitefish has a snout that overhangs the lower jaw. The lower jaw of the Cisco extends up to or beyond the tip of snout. Cisco are also commonly called tullibee or lake herring.

I take the winter off from working. Your videos are a huge part of my winter chillin'. In fact, you've inspired me to get out there in the winter... I'm out there every day in the spring, summer and fall, but never in the winter. Its time!
PS. Tip for next time: Use that mayo as a butter replacement when you wanna toast that bread up in a pan ;)

For Lake of the Woods after dark, put on anything glow white for burbot. You can pick up a couple walleyes/saugers after dark...but targeting burbot is the way to go.

Up here in Canada, a weekend hit runs roughly 750 plus tax for the Friday-Sunday… if you split it 3-4 ways not to bad

Was at zipple bay 2 weeks ago super slow for us too. Caught fish but definitely wasn't a productive trip. They still took good care of us though!

Those places are setup pretty dang good propane heat and stove. Cookware. Genny which I assume the last guy asking if ya had garbage must be the fuel guy. Holes all set. Wuh..... Good business idea there and setup miiiint.

I am jealous you youtubers that can just take off in winter for a month at a time and go from Lake to Lake and house to house…….. it’s an awesome way to spend the winter while probably filling your freezer if you actually wanted to. I’m sure it takes a lot of work to be able to get to that point where you can do it--good on you!!!
looks like a blast ! i wish ice fishing was more of a thing in Washington State ! its mostly just creeks and rivers around here with super high altitude alpine lakes. Those all feed into huuuuuuuuge extremely deep trout lakes that are too big to freeze over. im gonna have to go out to visit my homies in minnesota some time and do some proper ice fishing.

So I've noticed in your past videos you always throw back the pike. You should really try them. Tricky to clean but once you get it they are worth it. Delicious meat. Somewhat sweet. One of the best.

I hate lotw. Most overrated lake in the world. I told myself years ago I’d never go up to that nursery again and have found much better fishing 5 minutes from home on ponds compared to that big dumb lake
That definitely looks like a cisco. Downward facing mouth is a usually the dead give away of a whitefish and that guy has an upturned mouth.
Never been to LOTW before, are their sleepers all heated up for you when you get there like RED LAKE sleepers ?

Little tip, mayo is mostly oil so if you don't have butter to toast bread on a pan you can spread a bit of mayo on the bread and it'll work even better than the butter k
