Help us support local beekeepers affected by the bushfires: www.gofundme.com/f/helping-beekeepers-affected-by-aussie-bushfires
We have decided to try and help support local beekeepers by spreading awareness and helping raise funds. The funds will go towards helping beekeepers that have lost everything, as they need all the help they can get.

Need a handle screwed onto the weight board on the top for easy up or down or maybe some great hinges to raise and lower.

It definitely looks like you got your work cut out for you. And once you got that contraction figured out it looks like it was doing a pretty good job. Thanks for sharing.

I just use a 3/4 inch stater strip at the top of the frame and 30 lb. test fishing line. 1 sheet of foundation is enough for 10 frames.

When I do that I get all sorts of cross comb issues, they quite often build from the bottom up on a diagonal(or completely sideways) linking multiple frames together, then I have to try to straighten it all out a week or two later. Starter strips like that only seem to work for me when there's a full sheet of foundation or drawn comb either side to keep them going straight. Half sheets usually work well for me though and you get the bigger cell size on half of the frame, which is better in the supers than worker sized cells, more honey - less wax.

I purchased an embedder after watching this episode. My parcel arrived promptly but, there were no instructions. Not necessary really as it was pretty obvious how it worked. The DC side did not work at all. The AC side had issues. I had to rebuild most of it. It now handles Ideal frames as well as deeps. It needed some tweaking but now I'm really happy with it. I build solar systems so I understand how electrical current works.

Interesting device; maybe add a handle to the top weighted board for ease of lifting.

I just take two cables hook to the battery and make sure I put both Staples on one side of the frame sit to wax on the wires and hook it up just for a second and it melts right in

Ended up having to feed during what would have been the main flow. Worst year in terms of production for a very long time.

Hi honey could you please give us punters an insight as to what you forage ya bees on are you on crops or eucalyptus I seen you pollinated some apple not much nectar there but love to see how your going to build out those thousand frames?? Ps probably won’t answer my question all part of the smoke and mirrors only one true genuine beekeeper on TH-cam that’s the Canadian beekeeper!

Munibungbee King where we are (south-eastern corner of mainland Australia), our bees are working on eucalyptus, melaleuca, Manuka ti-tree and Dutch white clover. In spring they were working on our orchard blossom, melaleuca, trefoil clover and mirror bush.

LOL I was using one of those in spring and it kept cutting my wax in half despite all my adjustments. Did you end up charging up your battery while it was attached :) Thanks for the video. seems like ages since we saw you all!

dstick1 we have a similar one. It was embedding the two centre wires while the outer two remained cold. You have to work out how to make the electrical connection to all four wires simultaneously. Turn your frame over so that the wires going around the ends are touching the metal ends on the embedder. We use mains power for our embedder. PS. Ours doesn’t have a foot pedal and it came without any instructions.

I was having the same issue, centre wires hotter than the outer wires. Got really frustrated trying to get the balance right
