- Wiring a frame will help support the wax foundation and help ensure it stays centered in the frame as the bees draw out comb. Wiring frames also make them stronger when extracting honey from comb with wax foundation.

Greetings from Melbourne, Australia. Thank you for your video, it was very direct and easy to follow. My family and I are just beginning our journey in beekeeping and wiring the frames is our last step before sourcing bees. Your video was very informative and gave us confidence in our decision to allow the bees to freely form their own cells. All the best.
Straight to the point. Thank you from a newbeek!
I used to wire left to right now but now I wire top to bottom. Make the frame stronger when you pull honey. I add a wax strip on top as well.
Thank you
Do you prefer to not add the brass grommets to the holes? Great video. 👍🏻
I use 30 pound test fishing line. You did not indicate stainless steal or galvanized wire. I searched Lowe's for stainless but only galvanized wire comes up.
I'm new & trying to get organized to build my first hive....how wide is the foundation groove in the top rail? Looks like about 1/4" ? How thick are foundation sheets?
Do you also put frames with wax foundation on the brood box?
Рамка похоже на 230?
Have you tried a frame with a height of 405 mm? Or a frame 435 high?
🐝🐝❤👍
Do you have to use wire in your frames?
Only if you plan on useing wax foundations. No need for plastic
