I had to look this up as I had heard the son as well even though I was born in 80's.

The practical jokes I came across in the workplace were:
Getting the new lad to "hold the end of this cable clear of the drum" (somehow neglecting to say to separate and insulate all the cores) while we applied a mega-tester to it (that was for 415v 3 hase submersible cable, so it had to be tested for insulation integrity).
Sending the apprentice glazier for a glass hammer - they think it's a joke but there actually is such a tool, with a padded face for seating panes..
Sending an engineering apprentice for extra spots for the spot welder.
2 versions of sending them for a long weight/wait - the glazier version is a real thing (the weight that counterbalances a sash window), if anyone else asks you to do it, just grin and tell the you've heard that one.
Various impossible routes for the newbies when I was driving taxis, trucks, and riding as a motorcycle courier - would you believe there is a street in Londin where the premises are numbered chronologically?
Probably some others that I don't remember.
Certainly some I wouldn't admit to.

The Banana Splits. My husband watches episodes of it when he goes down memory lane. I saw a video on TH-cam of it and I thought they must have wanted to really torment children with that creepy show.
We tell the new guys to fetch the wire (board, pipe, etc.) stretcher if we make a bad cut. While they're gone looking, we have a "safety meeting" to decide whether we keep him around for a second say or not. If more then one of us likes him? He gets the job.
Man I got questions. Do you own all these properties where you just go get a barrel?
What the hell kind of car was that? It looked like a mullet. Business up front, party in the back. Holden of some kind? Looked like a impala and an s10 had a child.
Use the off cut barrel as a hive stand and you should wear those glasses all the time they really suit you

You should play the Banana Splits song when you are in your tree shaker, those dudes had a crazy buggy, My fav bits today, 12:46 BBM starts a drum talk, and Spiders are like "Quick run for the Hills the Bush bee man is here and we likely to be blown up by mistake" and 14:40 WTF have you stolen from the wife now LMAO,. do you have them on the right way. Plenty of people have used a gas on the fuel drums as a way of jumping the queue to heaven. Thanks for a great video, looking forward to watching the next instalment of crazy.
