    • @BGUFF
      @BGUFF  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes 1103 8000kv should be enough for an 85mm whoop. They would be even more efficient than the 10,000kv or 11,000kv 👍🏽

      I built one. It’s about 56g with a Caddx Turtle. 75g all up weight. It doesn’t fly quite as well, of course, but it’s pretty sweet. I’ll have some new footage on my channel soon.

    • @BGUFF
      @BGUFF  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The HD version is pretty heavy but you can still do acro with 450mah lipos. Just gotta watch out for washouts when using larger and heavier LiPos

    How many gram of payload we can add ?

    • @BGUFF
      @BGUFF  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      For optimal flight performance you’ll want to try and keep it right around 40g dry. Anything above 46-48g dry starts to get slight washouts in hard maneuvering

    • @devinjones3350
      @devinjones3350 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BGUFF do you know how to improve flying time ?

    • @BGUFF
      @BGUFF  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Devin Jones the general flight time for any quad is around 3 mins and for this quad you’ll get that with a 300mah lipo. You can use up to about a 550mah to get around 5-6mins of flight time. Alternatively if you fly slower and less aggressively you’ll get longer flight times

    5A ESC is that enough for 1103 11k motor ? This propellers 4blade or 3 blades are better?

    • @BGUFF
      @BGUFF  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, no issues pushing the 11,000kv motors with the 5A ESCs. I did also try 13,500kv and it smoked the ESCs after a few flights. EMAX Avon 4 blade props are THE BEST prop for this setup

    How much better is the Wolf C5 cam vs mob7 stock ?

    • @BGUFF
      @BGUFF  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I actually prefer the Mob7 camera over the WolfWhoop C5. I just used the C5 on this build since I was running a separate VTX. The Mob7 cam is an AIO that has the VTX as part of it. The Mob7 camera has better image detail and a wider FOV than the C5 but the C5 is still pretty good

  • @croeitusd5731
    @croeitusd5731 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    My build is nearly identical and it handles great, but it shakes a lot. Not a high frequency shake, but more elike a bobble in the air. Do you experience this a lot? Ive never tried tuning for a plastic frame and bf is so different now, I hope it's something dumb. (I'm using gemfan 2035's, maybe that's it?)

    • @BGUFF
      @BGUFF  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I did have that same problem when running the Gemfan 2035 props. Switching over to the EMAX 3 blade or 4 blade props fixed it. The Gemfan props are flimsy and flex during flight and also seem to be unbalanced

    How did you get around the fact the standoffs on the Beta85X frame are too short for the Mobula7 canopy that you used? Even with less than 10 degrees of camera tilt, it touches the flight controller.

    • @BGUFF
      @BGUFF  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I can fully screw down the Mobula7 canopy onto the 75mm and 85mm beta frames without the camera touching the FC when using the Wolfwhoop C5 Camera. It’s close but doesn’t actually touch at all. If I use the Z02 camera it seems to have a bit of a ‘chin’ that sticks down which will touch so I just add a little hot glue on the FC and chin of the cameras PCB so that they don’t touch and cause a short but I’m still able to adjust from 0 to about 55 degrees of camera tilt

    • @zorilla0
      @zorilla0 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BGUFF Thanks. I got the motors and frame to do a trial run with the Mobula7 electronics, but the standoffs have thrown a wrench into the entire plan. Now I know that neither an integrated VTX nor the Trashcan/Mobula7 HD VTX I was thinking about using will fit.
      Since the VTX you used is not for sale, which one would you recommend that doesn't lock me into BetaFPV's semi-proprietary ecosystem of camera mounts and canopies (like the Z02 would)? The Caddx Firefly might work if I can find room to VHB mount it, but it's only 25mw.

    • @BGUFF
      @BGUFF  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      zorilla0 you could use the Z02 25-200mw VTX. I’ve used it on other builds and instead of using the pins to connect to the FC I just run small wires so the VTX can be placed where it needs to in order to fit within the Mob7 canopy. The other VTX option would be the new TBS Nano VTX. I have not used it before but I know TBS makes very good products and I use the Unify on all of my 5” builds and they are bulletproof.

    • @zorilla0
      @zorilla0 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BGUFF TBS anything is way overkill for anything I would build, but it looks like that's the only viable choice here since the Z02 comes with a camera, which you've mentioned is potentially too tall. It's double what I was expecting to spend on the VTX, but maybe it will be worth it to get something that won't start breaking up the moment I fly behind trees.

    • @zorilla0
      @zorilla0 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BGUFF The Mobula7 canopy and recommended camera from the build came in today and I can't get the camera to actually fit inside of it. It clips in--barely--and pops out with the tiniest amount of force. I'm guessing you used hot glue here as well?
      I'm not keen on the idea of blobbing glue all over a fresh build, so I may just scrap this and go with a an EOS2 camera and a 3D print canopy (can't use the Mobula7 upgrade or Trashcan canopies to mount the EOS2 because those are also too low). This will suck because it's an extra $30 on top of all the previous gotchas that have added up so far, but I don't see any other choice.
